so i'm a little new to this game and had a few questions. right now i'm currently using all heavy armor, 1h wep, and a shield. should i consider using some leather to reduce my burden and interference?
also i'm having trouble upgrading my gear. i never rarely find any material to salvage so i only have 1 or 2 upgrades on one weapon. am i doing something wrong or is it supposed to be really hard to upgrade?
btw im lvl 70 right now
imo it's a bit too soon for you to use 1H, you won't see its full benefits until 200 prof. at your level i'd suggest leather + 2H (this way you'll also have some evade), but as malka said don't mix various armors, otherwise you'll lose the extra abilities (like HP enlarged tank)

To follow up on his question, since I don't get any dodge once I hit the 90 burden mark, should I simply ignore it completely and focus my survival effort on mitigation and blocking?
heavy armors have a really high burden: the side effects of this fact is to reduce evade (almost a positive thing for 1H), attack speed (you can still compensate with haste) but also to reduce crit chance (which isn't all that good). try to keep it as close to 70 as possible, eventually using mithril armors and ethereal weapons. again, at low levels (let's say <200) leather + 2H is still a decent choice

Ohhh, is that a new challenge for kumosu, DA laboratory dragon test subzect? Since my Peerless piece sell for 2896, the price to buy back is 2896x5x5=72400 credits... Eeyup. If someone pays me full 72400c, I'll be ready to do this Peerless salvaging test at anytime soon. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)
Yup, and beware of kumosu, he's like a mix of NC and Smaug when it come to attitude test combine with alcohol test, especially in the cozy environment of Freeshop and Caribean with back-stabbing-right-behind-you-ponies lurking around.

One point unanswered: -Upgrades are costly. Even the first 5 levels of any upgrade, which requires the least materials, would cost at least 45k~50k+ per level. We're talking about "50k+ for one attribute on one equipment to increase 1%".
-Do you really think that, what you're using right now will follow you all the way to lv300~400? Not many(if not none of the) new players can proudly say "I'm holding a good Leg/Mag/Exq(?), and it will stick on my main equip set forever".
So. I checked some mob actions (near 1600 powerlevel).
It was giant. He gains about 10% mp each turn and 3.3% sp. He was hiting me almost any move (probably close action speed) for 370 and sometimes crit for 560. He can also use skill near 60mp or 1-2 times with full mp (not always). Each near 1300. And his full sp cast ultimate for 2800.
It explains why sometimes i can feel a gap in difficulte mode. If enemy gonna earn enough sp and and near this time he can also get enough mp (30-35 moves) then his shots are powerfull and i have to use much more cure (and get incoming damage again). Its quite big mana trap.

only thing that may be worthy upgrading at that price may be a EMax force shield or power of slaughter, but 1H at his level isn't very good since you can have maximum 1 counter-stun, and that's another reason because i told him to switch to 2H leather: damn cheap nowadays (you can have a 4PAB exq set of protection for free, and even a decent mace with a bit of luck) yet quite effective, since at his level there are still a low number of mobs in arenas
btw, i used a 16-times-forged exq force shield till a week ago, and i was quite displeased to salvage it (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)

it will be even worse when you'll see that your spirit shield has spared you 9k damage (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) your HP tank? difficulty level? playstyle?

Still 1h. Mostly i`m doing x12-x9. Up to 60 x12, up to 90 x9 and later x6 (trio). All maxed, so not so hard to clear with 10k health even without spirit shield and spark. Btw, spirit shield is still quite bad for me. Quite big mana price for low duration. Probably its even better to use full cure than shield.

oh, not at all. spirit shield lasts many turns, while full-cure is a one-shot thing. tbh i guess i used full-cure something like a dozen time since i earnt it (quite a while ago, since my supportive prof is now maxed), and almost always by mistake (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) spirit shield at lv240 is barely usable, but if you say it has a low duration, maybe your supportive prof isn't high enough. with the 240-level tier ability (the same as yours) i have 72 turns and 90 with the maxed ability, how long does it last for you?
[edit]: oh, and also your 1H prof and the link of your shield, if i don't ask too much (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

I also want to check your heart rate and blood pressure. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/blink.gif) You marathon to Lv240 within 1 month?!?
Fire has 10% damage reduction. is it full reduction? Sounds quite good. Elec has evade/resist debuff, but i dont think i rly need it. 1h has quite solid accuracy. Freeze and air have similar effect. 10% speed reduction allows us get less attacks and 10% miss chance doing the same.
Atm im using frozen, but actually i think its not the best. So its the same damage, but with some pauses between it. Its like take thing and just mix it. Last mobs anyway gonna hit me, first one cant, because i gonna kill em faster and only in mid range ll be a small difference. 10% miss chance is a bit better, its like deleting some parts of incoming damage. So first mobs gonna miss sometimes, mid and last one also. Mostly i mean powerful hits, because small damage cant do big difference. But maybe i dont rly wanna missing it because my counter attacks? And finally fire which effect is same as cut-off peak of any damage. But at the same time its not full reduction. I mean mob can cast spell and hit me for 40% of my max health. 10% reduction gonna decrease to 36% and its not big difference. I dont wanna that high damage at all and maybe miss chance is better?

Never ever mix different types of armor together, or you won't get the effects of armor prof abilities. Either go full heavy or full light. If you keep using Plate, I suggest you to search for pieces with low burden. Aim for a burden under 70 (hard to do with plate, easier with power and an ethereal rapier), otherwise your crit chance is reduced. Power has a very good synergy with the 1H style, so you might as well go for power if you can find pieces at an affordable price. Power of protection/warding is kinda cheap, I would recommend power of protection at your level. Make sure all pieces have 3 PABs (STR/DEX/END).
It's okay to not upgrade your gear at your level. You're likely to find better gear relatively quickly.
Quick Question . What is the minimum level at which legendary items become available in bazaar. When do people throw Legs in bazaar and nobody others buys them before me?
bazaar is shared between all users, so you only have to see when items are thrown in. and sometimes, even being very quick isn't enough, once i lost a suffixless chainmail for some hundredths of second -.-"
