1. Use weapon for example. If you obtain +10% ADB via IW, and +35% via forging. Your weapon final ADB will be 110% * 135% = 148.5%.

it seems good to me, it may sell for some money. but considering your level i wouldn't IW nor make IW it

Wait, why not use Storm spike shield if you're an elec spike mage? Turbulent Air (proced by the wind spike shield) reduces Elec resistance by 25. Similarly, Fire mages should use Shock spike shield, Cold mages should use Flame spike shield, and wind mages should use Frost spike shield. http://ehwiki.org/wiki/Spells#Status_Effects

Shock spike shield looks bad compared to the others IMHO. Resist isn't that important with holy/dark since you don't need to use Imperil. Also, it is a debuff that requires you to attack the monster to be useful, while the other debuffs are passive, providing a reduction of incoming damage.

I said Storm (Wind) spike shield because evade is better the less defense you have, and mages have a low defense. But Flame may be better, even for mages, I don't know. Flame is a pretty solid choice since it helps in the worst case (and most common) scenario (monsters hitting you).

You misunderstood. I do use Storm Spike Shield for my Elec Mage style. I was only making a point fot Holy/Dark Style. Also, why the hell would anyone use spells to get the effect of Spike Shield? I AM talking about the passive effect, which happens from time to time! (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

Oh and another thing, Resist Reduction is a bit like Mtigation Reduction. Meaning, you do more damage in both cases. And for mages, I think more damage is better than more defense.

For mage to be playable, you will need defense up until a point where casting T3 doesn't automatically proc sparks. And when you want to make runs faster, there's 2 way, either kill stuffs faster, or use less heal. The old mage logic "kill it before it kills you" is no longer applicable. It will kill you if you don't have enough defense.

I remember EsotericSatire doing the math and presenting that a 10% resist reduction worked out to only a 2 ~ 4% increase in overall damage. Shock Spike Shield doesn't seem worth it in that light.

Item World now unlocks potencies on the equip instead of leveling up the equipment. Here's some info on the wiki:http://ehwiki.org/wiki/potency#Potencies

But basically, for melee weapons a potency can increase damage, attack speed, counter-parry, or crit damage. You can read more in the wiki.

I suggest you to use the Custom Font Option.....
the HV Font is hard to read (and it's slow in some browsers said by itself)
