So I'm guessing that along with raising STR and DEX, and training up light and heavy armors, theres no reason for me (a mage) to be putting any points into extra infusion slots... am I right?

str = 0.5 shield rating dex = 0.25 shield rating
Infusions can help boost your damage of the appropriate type. Having said that, I haven't trained any of the infusion slots yet myself, and never needed to use them.

I have 2 trained. Just for convenience really, don't feel like switching out my infusions ~_~'
One should be fine.

Wait wait, they DO raise your damage of the corresponding type? As in, if I use an infusion of frost and cast an ice spell, it'll do more damage?
I thought I read someplace that they don't work that way...
I'm confused @_@.

You get +50% to the corresponding elemental rating, which increases your damage.

After watching the HV chat thread i start to have some questions again
What should be the appropriate level to stop raising Scavenger, Quartermaster and Archaeologist and use the money to raise LotD?
right now Scavenger : 21 LotD: 10 Quartermaster: 7 Archaeologist: 5
I read from this thread before that I should probably raise my Archaeologist to level 5, but how about the other 2?

When you can BT easily, taking advantage of the 4x quality multiplier I suppose.

Just want to clarify, does it mean that i should still level up anything other than LotD before i can BT? And where's the quality multiplier comes from? I'm not quite sure about the quality systme yet

No, try to level the current cheapest training per example. The "quality multiplier" come from the difficulty, 1x on normal and 4x on Battletoads/IWBTH, the midway difficulties make the math. @Ichy: A guy got a Legendary with 12 LoD (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) This post has been edited by cmdct: Apr 3 2011, 19:20

Even if it is real, and not a lie, it was a fluke and will never happen again since equipment qualities and luck bonuses have been lowered left and right since it happened.

You already saw it, you even commented it was a crappy longsword. I have somewhere written the link, I'm gonna look for it, and PM you later. Edit: Btw after reading older messages, I see it was 10 not 12 LoD (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) @Hito: PM sent. This post has been edited by cmdct: Apr 3 2011, 19:46

I've never seen it, only commented that it was apparently a suffixless crappy longsword.

Thanks for the advices. The most important thing then is to raise level until i can BT, and just evenly raise my training levels
By the way, it should be totally possible for legendary equipments to drop, as i always commented on improbably lucky/unlucky events 'Anything shitty enough will happen if not prohibited'

so yea, I'm wondering... I'm on 54 staff mastery with lvl 67, and even when hitting all the time with my staff, I need to hit them like 50 times to get an increase in my proficiency. Should I just level up a bit and then increase my proficiencies? Same thing with magic (debuff [deprecating or w/e it's spelled] and supportive) on proficiency 54, is it important to have it very close to my level, or should I just leave it a bit and level up until the chance of getting proficiency increases?

Prof gains taper off the closer it gets to your level. There aren't many people here who have multiple things capped. It's not unreasonable to have your main attack type (elemental/2H, ect) maxed, but anything else takes deliberate effort. My main attack method, elemental magic, is always capped, but everything else I use regularly, cloth, curative, deprecating, and supportive hover around 20~30 levels below mine.
