1. If both prefix AND suffix is mis-matching, then it's shit. Ethereal is a bit less useless than this scenario, but that doesn't make any notable difference.

2-1. Well, I used to play with a Ethereal Staff as first when I became a mage. There is only a little bit of evade bonus, but it's firepower is much less than regular staffs. However, Peerless staffs can be exceptions to this scenario if they have correct Suffix.

2-2. Matching suffix, that's all. The firepower is already reduced due to the Ethereal Prefix, and you wouldn't want to reduce it further, would you? (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/duck.gif)

3. There is only 2 benefits of focus staffs:
1> Highest Crit Chance. But it's still not enough to make up for the lack of firepower.
2> You can get Penatrator Lv.5 + Spellweaver Lv.4 (A pretty important potency for long run). A combo which is not very useful on regular Staffs (due to the lack of Economizer).

4. Both are equal on their own terms and require very different strategies for maximum optimization. (Which is too long even for me to type right now!)

Becaue Gf is cap at 1000, there is no way to bring element mages' adventages into full use.

Exquisite Phase Shoes of Heimdall 2 PABs (INT, WIS), Emax EDB/Evade/Resist/WIS/Magic Accuracy.
Is it true that Emax EDB/Evade is nothing special for an Exquisite phase armor? They seem to be spawned quite often.

Exquisite Radiant with 3pab can be pretty good if you're a mage with low budget, since it can compensate the lack of firepower in exquisite phase with the MDB it gives, which can rival even those of the non-radiant Leg grade phase.
The Mystic prefix is like a coin toss, if you can crit, you do good, if you don't crit, it's useless. So it doesn't get much market value.
Frugal is always good. But the main reason of it's comparatively lower price is because it's widely available.

3PAB Exquisite without prefix = Shit
2PAB Exquisite without Radiant prefix = Shit

Emax EDB and Evade is nothing special, really (Since they are very common). Mmax+ MDB and INT & WIS are far more returning when you consider forging.

For weapon, I have try all three. Only estoc give reasonable speed at PF.
For armor, I have try plate, power and leather. Power of protection seems to be the best. However, it is still slow and do not give much protection @ PF. Leather (10~20 forges each) is safer, but the speed........
Full plate set is time to retire. Plate have to mix with power nowadays.

P.S. All weapons have 5 forged.
P.S.2: I use PFest for test runs.

My exq holy set require ~15 minutes.
My random cold/elec set also require ~15 minutes.
My Mag holy set require ~11 minutes.

Lazy to link the armors. Weapon/shield is in my signature.

BTW, Mag phase does not mean better than exq phase. And I have tested many combination of non-forged phase and I am very sure prof factor is more important than EDB. So, I always have 1+ cotton in my sets.

I'd say raise the Dragonkin. It's overall base stats are better and it should give better win/kill chances.

Thanks, but i prefer sample in 1-2 simultaneous turns rather than these 2 line examples (sorry for being dicky). I wanted to know the combat situation with the counter & stun procs, especially when encounter 10 mobs. Reading the wiki isn't enough, it even doesn't give information that mobs parry prevent splash - not only evade.

Edit: Nvm, maxleveling mobs with magic attack can be more effective though, against players who go full physical defense.

Situation Difficulty has increased at nightmare level . Monsters have there spirit abilty unlocked .
Was saved most times using spark of life. this begs me to think of a question regarding wiki hentai verse advice section on substandard abilites . i have invested in better spark of life .

I am wondering which other abilities i should choose from sub standard section specifically absorb and weaken.

haste, protection, regen, heartseeker (try to use the last two with spirit stance/channelling as much as possible). shadow veil + ethereal weapon too

34 monsters, only 5 PL 1000+. I planed to have more but I'm lazy to grind.
You can see Jenga monster database (I lost the link) for their PL. Though it is not up to date, it should be around there.
