QUOTE(Raidy @ Feb 28 2011, 16:00) is there any point in putting AP into x-item? tool-tip for it doesn't sound very impressive.

Yes, one AP isn't much for something that might save you from getting killed in a tight spot. QUOTE(Cessacia @ Feb 28 2011, 07:07) Is there any use for GP besides credit conversion?
Downloading galleries. Cheaper than paying in credits.

QUOTE(Sayo Aisaka @ Feb 25 2011, 21:48) Not that getting PA will help much against the Gods these days, given that it no longer increases poison damage...
It still increases, but it's so small: Without PA: 34 4 Spreading Poison hits Flying Spaghetti Monster for 542 damage. With PA: 39 4 Spreading Poison hits Flying Spaghetti Monster for 572 damage. QUOTE(buktore @ Feb 26 2011, 04:12) Critical is the reason why mainhand seem to proc far more than offhand, since mainhand automatically proc when critical hits occurred. This isn't applied to offhand.
Well the off-hand doesn't crit in the first place.

Does Magic Rating have an effect on the power of spells that heal the user? I know it affects offensive spells (obviously), but will a higher Magic Rating also increase how much Cure or Regen heals per use/turn?
Yes, I'm already aware that Holy Rating DOES help them, but I don't intend to put AP into that anytime soon, since I'm mostly Melee.

No, only base HP, curative prof and holy rating (but not for regen). This post has been edited by cmdct: Mar 1 2011, 13:19

I believe only resistance to similar spells when used against you. And of course, the power of your own relevant spells. Elemental Rating
Elemental Rating is a stat that is provided by various Auras and Abilities.
* Each % of Rating increases the player's damage dealt by spells of that element by 1%. e.g. 10% Fire Rating = +10% Fire damage. * Each % of Rating increases the player's mitigation against spells of that element by .5%. e.g. 10% Dark Rating = +5% Dark mitigation. * In addition to it's boost to Holy spell damage, Holy Rating also increases the power of Cure I/II/III by an equivalent amount. I was going to said just that. But then again, it does get higher damage when mainhand crit... I'm not saying that offhand can crit, but I'm reluctant to say that it can't for sure cuz of what I mentioned.

Is the GP exchange rate fluctuating a lot these days or is it generally within the same .01 range?
Also not really a game question but i figured I'd tag it here, if your gallery gets expunged, do you have to manually delete it or does the site take care of that for you? Thanks!

So here's a broad question: How do YOU play your mage? Do you pump yourself full of mana pots and chug them and blast out your AoE spells or do you take your time with magic missiles to start off the half cost ability and go from there?

I soften them up with an AOE, then weaken and bewilder them all... then confuse them and watch them kill each other while I taunt them from afar - I'm a sadistic bastard.. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

I usually start off with weaker AoE spell for early rounds (and take advantage of CM whenever I can), but as I get to later rounds I cast the weaker AoE 1-2 times till I get CM, then fire off strong AoE spell (effectively doubling my spell damage for same price) while keeping up my SV and haste. Whenever I'm at ~30% of my mana, I pop a mana pot. In nutshell, small mob = weak AoE, large mob = strong AoE. For me anyway.

Is silence prevent bosses using spirit attack?
It says "prevent special attacks and magic", then how about spirit attack?

Yes. Take note that you can't use Weaken and Silence together on the same monster, it will cancel one another.

I basically just use level 1 spells. I have maxed out Fire, Cold, and Elec and like to use all 3 during a round, if possible. I have an AP or two in my remaining tiers except for 6 in Tier 2 Fire. I rarely use the Tier 2 spells. I have been trying out new staffs to see how the different numbers work.

Why do offensive equips that aren't staffs seem to continue to sell high if the usual expectation is that people switch to maging by a certain level? Do some people stay Melee through and through? Does it get ANY easier for Melee people?
