Again, I might be outdated.

Indeed...

QUOTE( 0.3.5 @ Sep 6 2009, 15:10) *

- The chance of triggering the effect of the offhand is no longer cut by half, but you still need to get an offhand hit to have the chance to trigger it.

And I don't remember anything changed since...

I'm still not sure what Sayo meant... (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/wacko.gif)

QUOTE(Sayo Aisaka @ Feb 26 2011, 04:48) *

Rather, the proc chance is the same, but the chance of scoring a hit with the offhand in the first place is lower. The actual value depends on your proficiency according to a formula that I can't be bothered to look up... but I'm pretty sure it's in the Release Notes somewhere. And anyway, it givess you the number on the equipment screen.

Prior to 0.5.0, I calculate how much % of my offhand proc chance by multiplied the offhand weapon's proc chance with the % of offhand strike, which is...

[Offhand weapon's proc chance * (Offhand strike chance / 100)]

Which I believe to be correct if not take into account the fact that mainhand proc can override offhand proc if it's the same proc type. I believe it still correct in current version if main and offhand proc are of different types.

Critical is the reason why mainhand seem to proc far more than offhand, since mainhand automatically proc when critical hits occurred. This isn't applied to offhand.

I just reach lv 110 and I don't use Fire tier2 anymore but I have some question.

Is it worth to spend 11 ability points for 10 fire rating. (whole Fire tier2 tree, since you can't learn passive skill which give you fire rating bonus unless you have lv5 meteor)

That's weird. That shouldn't work unless you're blinding and sparking at the same time. 44% chance for 4 turns of stun means that the monster should only be stunned 92% of them time (someone should check my calculations).

Perhaps combine with a high evade silk and a autocast SV?

Just make sure they can't hit you at most times, some small miss is ok.

How do you caculation the chance of 44% 4 Turns = 92% time stunned? For my experience 30% 4T almost = 80% stunned time, but I don't know how to caculate them.

One hit of spirit = dead
I have a 43% 3 turn stun proc setup, but I don't really want to test this.

It's unlikely that tenb will allow perma-stuns. That's why he capped stun procs (bob's club had 40% 5 turn stun).

Is Spark of Life worth investing more than one ability point? I only see myself using it maybe one or two turns before before I know I'm going to get killed.

yes, because cloak of fallen will last more turns

When using a spell in auto-cast slot, will that spell gain proficiency while it's in use?

So in my travels I was ambushed by the ManBearPig. I'm totally serial, but I stomped his face off. Now my question is, what would best serve me in trading in his tail?

My stats are around level 28 with my Endurance slightly higher. I want to eventually be a mage. Just curious if my choices now have any effect on later loot opportunities at the shrine.

It literally doesn't matter. Just trade it in for whatever you want right now. Trophies will become relatively plentiful later on.

Thank you! I figured as much, just wanted to check before I throw it into the shrine and find I just wasted a priceless artifact. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

I used fleet gear and autocast SV to avoid the few attacks that got through. Both of the monsters I did this to killed me, but only after thousands of rounds of DW gain. I lasted 6000ish rounds against Ryoko on a high difficulty setting before she got lucky and hit me. I didn't get any trophies, but the effortless prof gain makes up for it.

Yes. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

By the way, the formula that gives the chance of an offhand strike isn't in the release notes, but someone worked it out here...

I trade mine in when ever the four low end trophies get up in the 20's or 30's. Out of this amount, 100ish, I usually get one phase. Not a good phase, mind you, but a phase none the less.

what does this phase gear do exactly? is it any good?

Usually one of the benefits of having a phase gear is that it has no burden or interference.

Okay so right now I have 4 AP that I want to use when I get tier 8 abilities and I'll have 1 or 2 more when I reach lvl 70. My question is should I, as a mage, fill my mp tanks first or rank 2 electric spells? I'll be filling out both before I reach lvl 80 either way I just want to know how I should prioritize.

Finish your rank 2 electric spells first (always try to max offensive spell tiers ASAP). Boosts damage, lowers mana cost and cast time; a lot more effective than 3-9% extra MP.

Hey experts, I'm looking for advice.

I have 14 ability points saved up, and am waiting till I get to level 100 so I can get Soul Reaper, max out Soul Harvest and Searing Radiance all at once. My question is, would this be the best thing to do? I'm a mage, and I have 5 rows of health tank empty, along with 4 rows of magic tank empty. I want to start fighting in the Ring of Blood, and I need more than just elemental spells. Should I keep going as I plan to, or put something in those tanks since my max HP and MP are 1571/378 (I have about 11,000,000 exp points I need to use too).

So I just realized I have 38000 GP. Is there any use for GP besides credit conversion? Or can it be put to other things? (I know there's Bounties and the like, but I'm not really a bounty person.)

is there any point in putting AP into x-item? tool-tip for it doesn't sound very impressive.
