It's because both Kite shield and Tower shield have high burden, unlike Force shield and Buckler. Someone prefer 20% less burden to +1~2% more mitigations, in case of Kite and Tower.

almost not, you can have a slight impression by yourself by visiting auctions/WTS as colmand said, but you should also keep an eye on the market and what people wants right now (for example, force shields with >Emax block, rapiers of slaughter, power of slaughter...) but it's quite difficult to explain it in two words, you may try to price your items by yourself and judging by the velocity with which you're able to sell them: obviously in the first times you'll lose a few credits because some items would be underpriced, but eventually you'll come with pretty accurate evaluations... Plenty of ways to value an item really. Bazaar pricing is one thing, but for items the item bot bids usually is a good indication of it's current value. WTS threads usually sells them slightly more than the market value while WTB usually buys them slightly below the market value. Though as someone puts it, the whole item trading scheme is like a flea market... Speaking of which, how much Chaos token would be needed to unlock all 100 monster slots? iirc, gc-kun already have like, over 30 monsters already... speaking about g and tokens, it seems to me that IWs have gronw a bit harder (thus a bit more potions consumed). am i dumb or he really won a few tokens = monsters upgraded?

The average PL were increased greatly. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) You hardly see any PL8xx monsters nowadays.

Haven't tried Elemental maging with Hellfest yet, but I can easily clear Hellfest with Holy. Elem maging does sound easier (or faster) because of the lesser MP costs but I don't really have any MP problems while doing it. The Mana gems + Riddlemasters + the occasional Ether Tap is enough. I usually end up with 2-4 Mana pots by the end of Hellfest.

how do you do "occasional Ether Tap" ? cuz I hate to ether tap, I just spell spam all the way thru battle and eat pots when needed

To quote Ronald Reagan... Well, yes... and no. A monster's effective level is capped... but the stats remain as given. So a Giant (for example) with 30 upgrades to Str & End is more powerful than a monster with 10 upgrades to all 6 stats. Also, Chaos Token upgrades are independent of the monster's effective level. So a monster with a higher actual level will be able to have higher Chaos upgrades. So... a monster with a Power Level of 800 maxes out at certain levels, while a monster with a Power Level of 1200 will have better stats and most likely have better Chaos upgrades. Thus, if both monsters are fighting the same character, their effective level is near the same as the character... but their combat strengths are very different. Even if they're both the same type of monster.

I ether tap when: 1) There's only 1 monster alive. 2) It has Coalesced Mana procced 3) It has very low HP. That's it. At that point, it would be a waste to cast a spell just to kill it. Hmm... Most of them. I use a script to highlight/color-code the annoying ones so I can cast Imperil without losing too much focus on the show/movie I'm watching.

Not him, but it's HV Counter+ 3.2, written by oohmrparis. Also, it was asked/answered on the previous page. So I set my humanoid monster's SP attack to be Magical -> Crushing, is the damage increased by INT or is it still DEX?
