Okay, so I just spent 300 hath on Multi page viewer and although reading doujins are now more enjoyable, I still have this bad feeling that I compromised my HV career because I could have done lots of training and bought lots of bindings, crystals and a Leg for that money.

What excuse can I use to justify my spending from a HV player perspective?

Also, I remember that Twilight-kun said something like making the gears with elementalist suffix viable again, so I assume that elemental, divine and forbidden prof was more useful back then (instead of acting as tier spell barriers like it was now), what kind of stat boost they give back then anyways?

You could probably use your pro scripting skills to make a script that fetches the image url automatically and arrange them in a new page.

What photo viewer are you using anyway?
And is it me or does leggings drop the most among shade things?

finally, did Eternal Darkness @PF. it took ~1.5hrs, and i got 20k credits + this. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/anime_cry.gif)

i'd barely survive til the end & used all potions (10MP +3 SP). Haste/SS/Regen/Heartseaker always on. didn't use SV or Sol to save mp.



thanks, for everyone's advice & the ones that sold me Haths for VV. VV really helps on saving spirit shield SP consumption + less likely to use cure. the SG crits still takes 60-80sp + 20%HP. though, i can't imagine reliably/regularly doing Eternal Darkness @PF. i guess non-forged gear can only take you this far with VV. also, low cold & dark mitigation aren't helping.

it doesn't apply for almost every combination i'd say. don't know if multiplicators are actually different, but i think having holyproof 5 or (darkproof 3 + coldproof 2) - just two examples - isn't so easy as well (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)

thanks for the offer, but i think i'm not going to forge/buy anything for now. even if i've forged my current emax shield, it won't be good enough to do 3rd SG@PF. i'll probably need a MMax shield. also, i don't really hv the patience to sit down for 1.5hrs to do the 2nd SG, the third will be even longer.

though, if you need credits, cruelsion is currently buying them @27.5k and often enough, people will be buying them @30k in WTB section.

You want at least magnificent phase with mag max EDB good evade and three pabs with good wisdom and intelligence as the minimum for forging. Even then I've never put more than five phason on a magnificent item.

Magic specialisation choice is quite important in terms of affordability and utility (though that could change in a single patch)

Dark - prices have crashed, in the past it used to be prohibititively expensive but good staffs can go for a fortune still
Holy - currently the most popular, it can be tricky and expensive to build right as there are a few choices

Wind - Best element at SG marathons, good resist profile, possibly the most popular all round element
Ice - Nice debuff, good resist profile, fairly constant popularity
Fire - Good defensive debuff, gear was quite common except for staffs only moderately popular.
Electric - Worst resist profile but strong against giants and mechanoids also only offensive elemental debuff. The fad of being popular may be wearing off its been dumped by a lot of top mages.

for comparison this was worthy 50k (only offer) at an auction. not the best around but i wanted something decent to start with wind (and worthy enough to be IWed for some credits later (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) ), maybe redwood will be a bit more since it has all elements, boh...
