Based on my recent market observation:

Exquisite Power of non-Slaughter suffix: base ~10k
ADB: Sup +~10k, ExMax +~20k
3 PABs: +~10k

So your piece is worth like ~20k to what I know.

Are either of these worth paying to get IW'd to 10 and bindings used on them?

Paying other to IW, no.
IW yourself, Yes.

Forge? If you cannot found something better with ~2M, then go for it.

How much phazons is worth forging into an exquisite-grade phases, assuming all of them have EX-EDB or 3 PABs or both? Cuz leg-grade phases are always grossly overpriced.

answer is still 0. 1 Phazon probably cost more than the ex-max phase. It's not like power armor, or shade, or force shields, where salvaging and getting back 80% of the special components means you lose a few 10k credits.

imo, only Mag+ stuff is worth forging.

still don't understand pricing, especially for mages. however, from auction results, it seems like most Mag Phase stuff sells for 200-500k. or in other words, the cost of ~1-2 forge. legendary goes for millions. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif)

1 CP = 200k
5 MG cloth (sometimes HG) = 1.5k (100k for HG)
Binding of something = 5-50k.
1 forge total = 206.5k - 350k.

Okay, so I just spent 300 hath on Multi page viewer and although reading doujins are now more enjoyable, I still have this bad feeling that I compromised my HV career because I could have done lots of training and bought lots of bindings, crystals and a Leg for that money.

What excuse can I use to justify my spending from a HV player perspective?

Not HV related but multi page viewer IS the best perk I have. It makes reading the galleries a lot more pleasurous, and you can operate it with one hand only.

All because of high pricing for phazons, which could be better spent on acquiring better phases, so I might as well save up all my phazons for later if i acquire some.

I might have something mixed up, but that's the gist of it. It was pretty simple, but it was also a monumental pain in the ass. Potencies are annoying too, but only because it's so difficult to get the ones you want.

Speaking of monumental pain in the ass, why there is a cooldown on IW clearing back then? I would understand if you get like two-digit levels per clearance and the pre-to-post forging difference is significant if not enormous, but if clearing an equip would give a marginal level boost then why there should be a cooldown at all in the first place anyways?

Also, what's the level cap for the equipment level back then anyways?

At your level, I believe IW a Exq grade gear from 0 to 10 can allow you to level up 5- 6 times. If you want a specific stat reaching lv 5, you will probably reach level 300 (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)
If using credit to quantify it, it is around 300k for each exq gear from 0 to lv10. If you have those credit/time, you better use it in better area, as IWed armor do not give you much.

No people really make the equipment level higher than their level.
As the item level increase, burden and interference will increase together.
However, if the item level is higher than the player, the stat of the item (besides burden and interference) will downscale to your level.

Staff have 0 interference AFAIK. For melee, heavy proficiency reduce some burden to counter the increase in burden (I forgot the actual value). Light is very bad at high level back then. (not like it is much better now (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif) )

You can counteract the HA burden with high HA proficiency back then? I had no idea... (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/blink.gif)

Also, I remember that Twilight-kun said something like making the gears with elementalist suffix viable again, so I assume that elemental, divine and forbidden prof was more useful back then (instead of acting as tier spell barriers like it was now), what kind of stat boost they give back then anyways?
