Having trouble taking on multiple monsters at once, which build should I use... I'm thinking of something that strikes fast and hard. Currently using 1-Handed skill with shield and light armor.

On one hand, we non-donators/h@hers gets called leeches because people accuse us of using ad-block and not "contributing" to the site.

On the other hand, we are needed so that the ads company can pay TenB to show us their ads.

100% hit chance don't guarantee your attack will hit the monsters with high evade rates, and you'll be seeing them soon enough. Regularly, in fact.

I have 107.9 % physical hit chance and my staves can't hit anything on PFUDOR First Blood at all without Magnet or Sleep.

Accuracy adds linearly, and any accuracy above 100% reduces monster evade. So if you have 103.7% accuracy, a mob with 30% evade will only have 28.89% evade (30%*(1-3.7%)). So if you get 200% accuracy, you nullify monster evade (150% will halve any evade the monster has).

We can safely assume that people posting on this thread are (or want to be) hardcore and want to be successful HV players. Otherwise, they wouldnt have posted here in the first place and contend themselves with playing on normal with equips they bought from the bazzaar.

A quick litmus test: you are hardcore if one of these apply to you:
- you have installed a userscript
- you pay real money
- you know 80% of EHwiki content
- you play this game for at least 4 hours a day

1H doesn't shine at low* your current level. For now, I also recommended using mace 2H. You can also consider DW.
1H need high prof to be useful. ie 200 prof to get 3 counter attack. IMO, that mean level 200 is minimum level to start using 1H.

Yeah, I know what you mean. But then getting proficiency for melee isn't that hard. Sure profiency gain slower as getting near cap @ level. But now my 1H profiency is already at the cap level.
As for switching discipline, I switch from DW to 1H because of safety and cost. I can't playing arena @ PF using DW without expensive upgrade.

Also, does the "Healing Roots" fully heals everyone (namely, every monsters in the TT&T)?

At your level, just use the specific armor/weapon type, you could easily go from 0-290 proficiency in a level or two.

Healing Roots doesn't fully heal every everyone, but it is spammed so often that you won't be able to out damage the healing, use silence to counter (or just kill Yggdrasil first).

Note, there are those who never bother to change their gears cuz they don't even bother about these achievements, they just want to play for fun. And, you hardcore people just rub shits on their face telling them "No, you shouldn't do hell, you should aim for OP gears and do PFUDOR areans etc LIKE ME". There are even some who never bother to grind, just dancing around in the game, i.e. Scremaz. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/duck.gif)
