If you manage to get Dark/Light strike on both your hands, with dark+light infusion added, DW can actually clear SGs faster than 1H if you don't have OFC with you. I can lend you my rapier to try it out yourself.

God yes, please. Anything to abate the flickering in anything but Firefox and the terrible slowness therein.

Have you tried Iron, in incognito mode? Faster than FF and chrome.

how well does mace work with power? specifically, power slaughter?
asking because mace shade is just painfully slow on hell+. maybe because i'm not spamming rending blow?

anyway, it's just persistence & luck. last 2 weeks, i'm getting Mags every other day. these past 4-5 days i've only got 1. just remember, HV is the biggest troll on the internet. if you're getting mad, it'll troll you even harder.
it's Fun, but not as well as 1H, though, in all fairness, i'm using this mace.

i think the main problem with 2H+slaughter is, you don't hv the ~40% block+parry of 1H & you don't get the evades+resist of shade. those 2 highly decrease your survivability. even with Stun(+domino strike), it's somewhat dangerous fighting 6+ crowd@PF. also, 1H can stun enemies with counters or use the 25 overcharge shield bash is okay. lastly, my mace does less damage due to not constantly being is perma-spirit stance & i'd rather just use an axe.

edit: though, Niten might be faster/safer with slaughter?

So far my ranking for my own melee setup:
1H Power >/= DW Shade > Mace Power >/= Estoc Shade

*1H - LV.10 Artic Rapier w/ [Mag ADB, ExMax Parry] + [MMax Block] Force Shield w/o [any forge]
*DW - Lv. 4 Ethereal Club w/ [ExMax ADB] + Lv. 10 Ethereal Rapier w/ [Leg-2 WD,Leg+10 Acc, Leg Parry]
*2H Power = Lv. 8 Ethereal Mace w/ [Sup-2 ADB, SupMax STR]
*2H Shade = LV.0 Fiery Estoc w/ [ Mag-3 ADB, Mag Acc, ExMax STR]
*Powers are all slaughter suffixed with at least Sup-2 ADB
*Shade set has overall <ExMax ADB and <MMax EVD from different suffix.
*1H has 224 prof, 2H has 254 prof and DW has 273 prof.

Not likely to give gifts on the regular until it's around PL700 or so, when it can start being called into regular fights against the main players of HV. What you need to do now, more than anything, is to grind to lv200. At that point you should be able to afford crystal packs, and should have some chaos tokens to upgrade your monster. (Alternatively, strong enough to try Normal difficulty Grindfest for crystals.

Not true, I have 3 critters all below PL300 and on average each of them bring 2 gifts every other day. Albeit most gifts are low grade mats but sometimes what they bring can make me do a double-take. I have no real expectations from my critters, whatever they bring back is just bonus.

'Every other day' doesn't count as regular (and your monsters are pretty efficient for their level.). My level 620 beast brings something every day, sometimes upto twice a day. My sub 400 monsters usually take 3 days to a week sitting on stuff.

Well, I think the most obvious way is to redirect the ehgt.org to the localhost and setup a web server as an ehgt mirror... but that's all I know really...

Hmm ... i like the idea, although only the nerd-ways come to mind...
replicate the file/folder structure on the ehgt.org side locally, running a http server, redirecting the domain to local server and passing through everything that's not an image
or ...
write a script that parses the html and replace all the images with local paths
or ...
run a caching proxy on your local net

But all this requires some sysop knowledge, so is probably not practical (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/mellow.gif)

Otherwise, the built-in browser cache seems to work just fine (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

Pardon me for not noticing this earlier, but here it is. It requires Scriptish to for the job, most scripts do for Firefox. so if you're using Greasemonkey or whatever I suggest change over to Scriptish now... (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/heh.gif)

Its possible with userscript, but annoying to make. Stopping imaged from loading altogether is much easier, but the interface would become very non userfriendly

Uh, i can block images from loading just fine without any scripts at all in Firefox... I tried exactly that earlier and the result is very horrible indeed.

Meh, you'd be better off raising a few PL750+ monsters, according to Blacksmith-kun, it's better to have more high PL monsters rather than pampering just one with all the crys you can buy for the critter.
Also, even the highest level monsters are useless without chaos upgrades.

FYI
1 moster level 1500 costs about 50~60M at least.
10x monster level 700 costs about 25M.
You can borrow the Hath from others on WTB and pay back after getting Crystarium III and grinding.
It takes only about 2 weeks when 4 runs a day, a month when 2 runs a day to pay back.
Though I gathered it by grinding for myself. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/cool.gif)

Make that 10 pl800, problems with high PL monsters is that they hardly bring you enough bindings, rare materials compared to a small army.
