imo, DW + shade/leather is still a decent combination. DW is can provide decent dmg & shade can provide good resist+evade+more dmg. leather can provide some cheap & good protection & resist.

If you manage to get Dark/Light strike on both your hands, with dark+light infusion added, DW can actually clear SGs faster than 1H if you don't have OFC with you. I can lend you my rapier to try it out yourself.

OFC is a game changer and works better with 1H than any of the others because of OC gain. without it, 1H and DW are more or less the same.

Well, at least in SGs, for my experience. DW still sucks hard in non-SG marathons. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)

Whats your ping? Cats Lover and I probably have the shittiest internet (400ms ping) of all the 350+ players here, and we both consider grinding prof to be easy even with no Assimilator. The trick is to get to 350, then start to gain prof naturally by playing (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)

Over 1k ms, that translates into at least 3 seconds of loading due to worse.than.dial.up speed (for 10 dollar no less). Unless if you count the Netcafe where the ping is only 16ms, and even then I need one third of an hour to clear Trio and the Tree, On Normal (anything short of danii's speed is too slow on Netcafe...). I hardly even bother with arena runs anymore these days... (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/heh.gif)

Btw, I have over one terabyte of ACG collections, at least one fifth is eroge CG, all downloaded over the Netcafe.

Well, I'm using T&T's last round where Yggdrasil cures the others infinitely.
All you do is just cast Regen at proper time and just cursor at enemy with Mousemelee.
DW, Deprecating and Offensive spell can be also done by SpellSpam.
(Yggdrasil must not be at position 'C' and you should unslot your 1-tier offensive spell's ability which increases the range, though.)

Neighbouring a country with 99% Net connectivity. Money that can be spend for a better net connection was spent on seedboxes instead. All cuz daddy was computer illiterate and I couldn't secure a good enough job for myself.

I think it is your browser's issue.

I noticed that the game starts to lag the more turns you take. At the start of the round I can go 3.5-4 turns/sec, but after about 2000 turns, it slows down to about 1 turn/sec.

As Colman said, it seems that browser/connection issue or script issue.
For example, I also experienced such slowdown when I was using HVSTAT Full version.

Now there's no difference for me between at the start and after 50000 turns of a round. Always 2~2.2 turns/sec.
