Gentlemen, I think we should discern 'troll mags' (example: Power Slaughter with lowest ADB possible, Force Shield with 0 PABs) and 'shit mags' (example: Cotton, Leather of Stoneskin, Shortsword of Vamp or something like that).

Oh sure. That was the idea, anyway, considering I mentioned the lack of Postage Paid. I guess that's my larger question, after all. Is it worth CODing the Phazon for 200k (what I assume it's worth) when the mail fee is 1k?

you don't HAVE to cod it, it's just more convenient to. just make sure you tell whoever you're selling it to that you didn't put a cod on it so you can get paid.

I really wanna choke the "piece of cake statement" outta everyone, and I MEAN, EVERYONE! who said grinding profs was a cakewalk. I got my Assimilator Lv5 back when I still have megacredits to spend. For those who have a damned good ping and a damned good Net Connection, grinding'em is practically a train 'n forgot thing for them. But I don't. And grinding Divine/Forbidden prof is a hellborn plague on my Net connection.

Whats your ping? Cats Lover and I probably have the shittiest internet (400ms ping) of all the 350+ players here, and we both consider grinding prof to be easy even with no Assimilator. The trick is to get to 350, then start to gain prof naturally by playing (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)

Whats your ping? Cats Lover and I probably have the shittiest internet (400ms ping) of all the 350+ players here, and we both consider grinding prof to be easy even with no Assimilator. The trick is to get to 350, then start to gain prof naturally by playing (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)

but grinding melee prof is a lot faster/easier than grinding forbidden/divine/depreciating prof. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)

even assuming 100% 0.03 gains, you'll need to spam the spell 10,000 times to grind 300lvls and that's why my depreciating prof is still in the lower 100s & divine prof in 0.17. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/anime_cry.gif)

I personally dont ever bother with that. I got my dep prof to 270 just from the few time I tried using imperil in SG (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/heh.gif) Nowadays Im not even using dep spell anymore

I noticed that the game starts to lag the more turns you take. At the start of the round I can go 3.5-4 turns/sec, but after about 2000 turns, it slows down to about 1 turn/sec.

And here I was thinking that perhaps Tenboro added turn speed throttling.

So I was that guy a few pages back who posted about investing in agility as a DW heavy armor user, and I read everyone's comments afterwards (tl;dr: mage > 1h > barefists > DW + heavy power armor of slaughter).
Just for the heck of it, I tried equipping a terrible 1h weapon with some silly old shield, paired with random crappy-ass heavy shield armor I had lying around, and with a 2.0 1h weapon proficiency, I messed around.


I'm happy to report that my damage is shit, and the rounds take forever, but damned, I'm unkillable.
Also, mana is no longer an issue. As a DW user, I was burning through mana just to survive a round.

Staff 201.12 -> 419.68
Cloth 281.61 -> 421.00
Elemental 62.00 -> 386.90
Divine 179.90 -> 247.71
Deprecating 361.30 -> 421.00

Grinding 2~3 hr average per day on the last round of T&T.
IMO staff is much easier than offensive spells unless mainly playing as mage.

imo, DW + shade/leather is still a decent combination. DW is can provide decent dmg & shade can provide good resist+evade+more dmg. leather can provide some cheap & good protection & resist.

however, DW + heavy might lack evade/block/resist to be you survivable for the long run. ie Axe/Axe + power slaughter provides a lot of dmg, but you'll die very easy for having 0% evade/block + low parry/resist.
