QUOTE(LostLogia4 @ Apr 28 2014, 14:28) Ya know... kos9494 also got something similar from what he calls "the ASIC thing". A good staff only worth a thing when it have a good stat, a prefix with a matching suffix. Or an elemental staff of destruction, these'll sold for a premium. but your staff here isn't one of them... Perhaps it's good enough to get a Hi-grade wood...
I agree

QUOTE(mcz @ Apr 28 2014, 17:19) Does it matter what difficulty you earn the trophies in? I just did TT&T on Nintendo in ring of blood and gotten an exquisite and my very first magnificent reward by shrining the thropies or was that just pure coincidence?
Also, does the Luck of the Draw upgrade apply to shrining trophies?
pure coincidence. Mag is like 0.01% if Its not noodle, you are lucky. They dont.

QUOTE(Ckyc @ Apr 28 2014, 20:49) 10 APM is really.... BtW , is it ok to bring a shield to grind Forbidden prof?
I would be lucky to get 10 APM with my slow-mo Internet, the HV lags for 3 to 6 seconds to me on average, so I can only do PFUDOR RE till the Labour Day. I swear, playing a laggy game and surfing a laggy Internet would certainly slows down my cognitive and reflex speed, so much for Internet as a basic right... If I can play HV on a lagless Net connection, my starting APM would be around 20 to 30 or so, with training I can get to 60 APM or more, though in DW I tend to overrev my APM and forgot to renew the buffs (viva Innate Arcana). I can just go ahead and go to Netcafe and have that lagless experience, but I'll need to be at least half as fast as danixxx to break even there for IW run. That aside, bringing a force shield on a phase equip is a fair game if it'll give you constant stream of divine/forbidden prof. Heavy armor though, so not worth losing the EDB for. Heck, I don't even know why I forgot THIS kinda idea till now... QUOTE(Cats Lover @ Apr 28 2014, 20:55) (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/cool.gif) Well... the real problem is that the mages can't easily get high EXP at low level. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/cry.gif) From the experience of a lot of my friends and my own, low level maging is too slow and boring and hard in comparison with melee. Well, being an acolyte sucks absolutely, that goes without saying. It's not so sucky for me anymore for my PFUDOR RE's winning streak yesterday though... Off topic, but I'm listening to this music, I have the MP3 saved as my souvenir from Netcafe, of course. This post has been edited by LostLogia4: Apr 28 2014, 15:35

QUOTE(holy_demon @ Apr 28 2014, 23:02) I'd say, make that level 400 (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif) TBH I really wanted to say like that, but it was too cruel to say... (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/duck.gif) Seriously, I can feel the difficulty gap for mage with trying elemental mage for fun, among level 310, 350, and 400. I'm looking forward to reaching 450 lvl soon™

QUOTE(animeai @ Apr 28 2014, 22:05) I had this one earmarked as a museum piece since I didn't think anybody would offer what it was really worth with all those LMax stats becuase of the suffix XD http://hentaiverse.org/pages/showequip.php...;key=2b0369923d Sent you a PM about it (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/wink.gif) Btw, Overpower is the best potency for 2H, I just have to say it after seeing how awesome Blacksmith-kun's loaned estoc is. Just ask dnbdave. Also, I doublechecked the Wiki and ability list, it seems that Holy/Dark imperil is simply more trouble than it's worth at my current level as I've slotted the maxed out Better and Faster Weaken abilities. With Better Imperil Tier 3 I've got... what? 40% physical and magical defense reduction, with Tier 2 I only got a measly 10% holy resist reduction. That would explain the sharp drop in magic damage after I slotted both the Weaken abilities in as I ditched Better Weaken for it. Also, Better Imperil Tier 3 also gave me 30% elemental resist reduction as well. Now that I can do PFUDOR RE in holy mage setup there's no reason why i can't do the same on an elemental mage setup as well. This should explain why dark mages sucks these days... and the "In Memory of Dark Mages" critters, perhaps they're much better off back then... anyone care to tell? It might have been the noodle. Ring of blood TT&T spawns a host of other bosses, including the spaghetti monster, with them. Besides it was my very first mag drop ever since playing so gimme a break (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) (not a very good one though) This post has been edited by mcz: Apr 28 2014, 18:33

Is there an order which determines whether a monster's attack gets evaded, blocked, or parried? With my current 1H + shade setup I have 36% evade, 35.3% block, and 13% parry, the combat log says that these are my battle stats:
Defensive Statistics: Overall chance of getting hit: 29.30% Miss chance: 2.00% Evade chance: 44.78% Block chance: 18.09% Parry chance: 5.83%
Is the order of rolls Evade>Parry>Block?
Even when I was using my DW setup with >53% parry I remember still having a higher evade % by quite a margin.
Now granted I have max Shadow Veil on at least 80% uptime, it still feels like I'm evading too many attacks and blocking/parrying too little, which effectively lowers my DPS due to less counter procs. I tried looking around a bit in the wiki but couldn't find a definitive answer on how a monster's attack gets determined whether it hits or not. The only thing I found was the order of stats listed on the Character stats page which goes evade>parry>resist>block but I have no clue if that's how it actually is.

evade and block works for both physical and magical. parry works for physical only, while resist works for magical only. and i believe the order is evade > block > parry/resist

How do the custom player created monster encounters work? Say I have a lvl 200 monster, does it have a chance to encounter a player =>200? Or does the monster only fight lvl 200 players?

(IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/cry.gif) From the experience of a lot of my friends and my own, low level maging is too slow and boring and hard in comparison with melee. Of course, I don't want to say all the players should begin with melee. I don't like uniform and standardized classes (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) (Yes! TBH I want to say 10B plz buff 2H and Niten, even though I'm 1H Heavy user from the beginning. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)) But this is Ask the Experts! thread, the newbies want to know the most efficient and the fastest way. So I can't help saying "Level up first, and do whatever you want after at least 300+ lvl." That's exactly the reason why I had to tell the truth about suffix out loud pages before this. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/cry.gif) Even I myself prefer everything if not more thing to be balanced rather than just having one going relatively OP and the rest suck dick. I won't want others to give me false information either so I couldn't help about it. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/anime_cry.gif) So, what about DW? Do you sir think it should stay what it's like or buff it up? (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)

here's wiki page about this. as you can see, PL of the monsters you are challenging may vary based on the difficulty you encounter them and if i did the right calculations, PL=200 means that maximum level (that comes from minimum difficulty) of the player should be 122. QUOTE(Cats Lover @ Apr 28 2014, 14:55) TBH I want to say 10B plz buff 2H and Niten, even though I'm 1H Heavy user from the beginning.
yes! pretty please! (IMG:[ amberskyeforbes.files.wordpress.com] http://amberskyeforbes.files.wordpress.com/2013/04/smiley2.jpg) QUOTE(kos9494 @ Apr 28 2014, 19:44) So, what about DW? (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif) imo DW it's fine like it is, if you really like to have a very small AoE. but other styles seriously should be buffed, like the always-underlooked niten or the always-useful-but-a-bit-bad-treated 2H

Hello guys! I'd appreciate any suggestions regarding the equipment I should get, as well as which stats I should be raising as 2H. To this point I've been lurking the forums, I thought that I shouldn't bother anyone and would gather the necessary information myself, but with the amount of pages in thread like this one I figured it would take ... a fair amount of time. So well, uhm, here's the character and the equip I have right now:
edit: errrr, since it's my first post it wouldn't allow me to upload images, so lets continue in second post:)
