Was wondering about this as I'm gathering holy mage gear to try it out sometime down the road (read: I've been melee from day 1 so I know nothing about maging). I thought Katalox is more sought after compared to Oak, so why would Hallowed Oak of Heimdall > Hallowed Katalox of Heimdall if both staves are of equal quality and have all the right rolls?

Katalox's of course more sought after, it's rarer. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

Katalox may be better if fully forged, but oak's way better as a starter.

A question to oldies:
What were the specialties of "Dragon Hide" armors?
Also, can anyone please share their Dragon Hide equipment links?

Ohhh thanks. It seems like there aren't many DW mainer like you beyond Lv. 300. Mostly are mages and 1H. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/dry.gif)
So the crit. chance of both mainhand and offhand are added separately without any reduction huh?
I'd believe Fleet piece has slightly higher EVD than Shadowdancer, and by slightly I mean like <1% but it doesn't have crit. chance whatsoever which is very important to DW.

You can take a look at my legging and boot shadowdancer pieces and you can notice that sum of roughly 5% crit. chance from both of them makes them look so much better than fleet pieces of the same grade.
What's more is you only sacrifice about 3% overall EVD for that which doesn't really matter if you're DW with good parry.

I can easily clear through BT TT&T arena with my current setup. Haven't tried IWBTH yet but I guess I can still make it.

Though I'm pretty sure there aren't much DW around since DW only shines doing SGs arenas and suck so hard in IW and fest. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/anime_cry.gif)

-they all went to 1H or mage, or just aren't as vocal about it because we don't want to get nerfed (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/sleep.gif)
-crits are added together multiplicatively from all equips.
-SD and fleet are supposed to have the same evade, but good luck trying to find any pieces with close to exmax evade
-IWBTH IW isn't that hard with DW(70ish rounds is about as hard as PFUDOR T&T) as long as you keep enough overcharge to frenzied blows and kill 3-5 monsters at the start of every round. i haven't attempted hellfest yet but i heard you need fus ro dah or OFC to stand a chance

and now a question for the few that still DW occasionally:
is there a faster way of getting through the first 55ish rounds of PFUDOR T&T?
i've been just turning on stance and whacking away, but it seems like there's a faster way of getting through with frenzied blows abuse. haven't been able to figure out a pattern that makes a difference though

high resist if i remember correct, but since they are all old equips it shouldn't be easy to compare with actual ones, you should find come equally old leather armors...

wouldn use any arcanist shade... less evade for less interf... kinda bad deal. try find fleet better SD...
any mop from monsterlab should be killed if you use skill 1&2 from DW with 3x PA in stance. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)
if you start a group and see their are alot giant or just alot hp mops give them a ofc in stance, depending of your gear it should kill/almost kill the group!

aside that , do a rota between skills 1,2,3 from DW, or silly in stance hiting..., or ofc them, just use what you have ready from cooldown/ or being forced to cuz of their hp.

I sent you better breastplate and gauntlets, so you can focus on trainings pack rats(like malktmp said). Train just enough gradually so you can do the highest arena at the highest diff, while using all your pots. Also train some scavenger, lotd, quartermaster.
