No, you have to kill everything asap, so cast the T3. Should clear the round within 2-3 turns after imperiling everything. Any turns after that with more than 3-4 mobs, and they will spark you. You can even spark just by casting the T3 spell (holy/dark). So the key to mage is to maximize evade and forge your gears, to be able to kill in one shot. But it's pretty rare to do that, esp with all the resist nowadays.

I thought that's a must if player wears phase set of his element (heimdall),
it's usually ~200% EDB with set and destruction and ~240% with heimdall staff

It depends on if the destruction staff's "overall+holy" damage was greater than the "overall+holy" damage of the heimdall.

If the heimdall was the same or very close, the heimdall wins because of the healing bonus.

Uh, having to pay 450 Megacredits is the least of your concern really, a legendary power armor looks downright common compared to a leg radiant phase gear. And if they fell upon anyone else's hand but you, be very prepared to spend 7-9 digit figure Credits for it, in an auction no less. If you have an legendary hallowed oak staff of Heimdall or otherwise skimp out of using dark magics though, you can skimp out buying the Bindings of Fenrir's, Demon-fiends and 500 Hi-Grade Wood.

The actual cost for forging all five Radiant Armaments is 139 Megacredits for 250 Phazons (on top of another 250 Phazons spent on them), 2500 Hi-grade clothes and 500 Bindings of Destructions. Compared to power armors that gives three digit ADB, radiant phase gears gives only two digits MDB, so it's simply impractical to fully forge the MDB of the Radiant Armaments.

I can't be sarcastic? (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif) And whatever I said earlier about maging, I meant only in the context of PFUDOR. You can always play in IWTBH, which only requires staff forging, not armor forging.

A while ago, forging would increase your base stat by only 1%. Now forging follows a logarithmic formula; the first gives you 2.75% increase in your stat, which then diminishes to about 0.25%. This is good for non-rich players because you don't need to forge so much to get a good return. This is bad for higher level players because damage used to be doubled (now only 167%) for full forging. Even worse for mage bc we also rely on EDB, which is now only 135%, instead of 150%. But again, you don't need to fully forge to play successfully as mage.
