I only start play recently, so idk when/how exactly estoc nerfed to death either. I heard estoc was op a while ago.

It was mostly due to PFUDOR AFAIK. the extra parry mobs get makes estoc a real pain w/o OP 5, and even then it can still be a real pain.

Previously, you could kill quickly with a high enough PMI and forged estoc. Now with so much parry, reduced domino strike, more special attacks, and no evade, a heavy two-hand player is just a sitting duck. No amount of PMI can protect you from 9 mobs with special attacks. QUACK QUACK QUACK....

even then it can still be a real pain.

yes, Overpower is useless in PFUDOR. The problem with parry is that if the initial mob parries, you don't domino strike, you lose that turn! Whereas with mage, resist from the main target does not affect resists of the other targets. the ethereal is the weakest of the bunch. If high burden does not bother you, the fiery is the best Actually, now just looking, the Tempestuous might be better. The PABs are better, the damage is a little lower, but wind strike is good against giants and dragons. Ugh, the PA is lower though. Hell I don't know.



Just FYI, 14 burden and 7 interference is the lowest.

Do the better PAB's and burden beat out Fiery's pros? I'm thinking not so much.

Edit: Then again, that burden is kinda high, dammit. I'd have to get accustomed to buying featherweight shards, which add up.

I don't really want to deal with Auctions, don't have the patience for it.

As for which Estoc to go for, I think I'll just have to bite the bullet and accept that burden. At my level it should be fine, and it's not like 18 is that much better either. If it was 14-16 burden then I'd probably go for the Temp, but I don't think 18 burden or better PAB is enough to counter better crit chance, ADB, and Elemental damage.

I should be hitting harder with Fiery.

I don't really want to deal with Auctions, don't have the patience for it.

Try asking the auction holder for an incremental proxy bid. That way you don't have to worry as the auction holder will bid in your place till the it exceeds your maximum budget.

Speak of the devil, there's an Exquisite Demonic Estoc of Slaughter available for auction in Komika Island.

just wondering, why all of you are so disgusted by the arctic one? because cold strike is meh? or for its 'low' ATK? apart from 50~100 ATK points (out of 1100!) it has the best overall stats, including prco chance and BUR... it seems to me the best compromise among those three... the exquisite one is clearly overpriced jugdging from its stats, even for being an ethereal one

same here. i sold and arctic estoc with stats very similar to your fiery one for 7k, judging from the price of those mag (and the fact that someone still wants to buy them) i should have asked at least 50k...

I mean, it's a kite shield and not a force shield, so its blocking % isn't as high.
On the other hand, it doesn't have an absurdly high interference stat.

kite shields' eventual value is due to the fact that they have higher block chance that buckler (except for buckler of the barriers, with which are at pair), yet they still don't need additional, expensive components to upgrade them, so they may be good for forging. if you're in a hurry take those 2M, otherwise keep it, but i don't know how much more you can do with it (provided it's worthy)...

it really depends how much those rich ppl are willing to pay for it. imo, send it to one of the auctioneers (Dreamophobia or Komica) & Set a min price (ie 2million). they'll take their cut, but you'll probably end up with more.
