QUOTE(tribalspirit @ Jan 27 2011, 21:04) can i consider (roughly) at my level 1% mdm = 1EDB = 2prof ? jsut to simplify a debate that is carring people to violence (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) ? Value of MDM = EDB rate * prof rate Value of EDB = prof rate * MDM rate Value of prof = EDB rate * MDM rate To simply the question. EDB to prof rate = [your totally prof rate(all by yourself and your equip)]/[your totally EDB rate] If you have a spell prof around 200 at your level, then 1 EDB = 3 prof It based on your status. For a level 120+ mage with full mage prof gears, 1 MDM>>1 EDB>2 prof

So, people usually say +hit chance weapons are good for lower levels, and +damage for higher. Around how low/high would this threshold commonly be? Like level 50ish or 100ish?

I think lower than 130.
Arcane Focus improve your hit chance.

QUOTE(tribalspirit @ Jan 27 2011, 10:15) oh damn thing are getting annoying
please, high levels, stop teasing us noobs how you can know if a magic equip is better that another? prof/damage-vise
If you're speaking of a particular piece, that's easy just look for the max values. For using it in a set, do the math, to simplify the steps, make a program. The point is like vean said QUOTE(vean @ Jan 27 2011, 15:38) These 3 things should be same to reach the max power.
QUOTE(tribalspirit @ Jan 27 2011, 10:15) I'm thinking about the whole mage equip value system should based on our character level. No. You can reach different max power with different sets, just the fact using a infusion which add 50% rating, or AF which also add some mdm depending of supportive prof, changes the result. Nerf has a relatively insignificant effect on their defenses unless you're doing Soul Burst spam. PA already doesn't have much effect as far as melee goes. Combining the two makes a small difference, but its the difference of shaving a few dozen turns off. If you can spare the mana, go for it since it makes the fight a little easier. Nerf has a pretty good impact when combined with Weaken/Bewilder against them, though. Regen is more than enough to keep full health on a good build, barring Spirits since they pretty much kill you anyway.

Hmm... I was hoping that Nerf could reduce Resistance/Mitigation as well as Shield/Barrier rating... Too bad if it's not, since PA already does that. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)

QUOTE(hehsy5sy5 @ Jan 27 2011, 14:46) What is this posting bonus for exp, how does it work ? Is there a certain time it resets or is it every 24 hours after your last post? I don't get it. Does it only work on the hentai verse section of the forums? because i don't have too much to talk about here since im a noob and just starting. Thanks!
anyone can answer this?

That page doesn't really answer most of his question.
IIRC, the posting bonus is 50% at 10 posts, which can be made anywhere in the forums, with the exception of the FSZ I would imagine. It suffers from significant diminishing returns after that and caps at 100% for 100 posts? I think.
I believe it resets with the Dawn event, like everything else.

I think it don't reset, it's the current posts you made in the last 24 hours.

Isn't exp bonus for posting based on average number of posts written daily since creating account ? I think dawn of the day has nothing to it, except clearing 100 post limit which you can write every day .

i don't think so, because my account was lurking till a few months ago and i also enjoyed a decent exp boost from posting.

PA + Nerf + Soul Burst on the other hand is super effective. Even more so if you've got a couple of battlecaster weapons you can duel-wield.

What's the best element for IW grinding on easy/normal? I'm guessing elec or soul (once it's available), but how well does holy work, considering its tier 1 costs the same as an elemental's tier 2?
