I'm too lazy to use infusion...

Generally 5 butcher can be easily done within using 50~150 amnesia shards for me (plus 1~3 days) but after that I've never get holy/dark strike at 10th lvl. For 6 times consecutively! (fire, cold, fire, elec, cold, fire)

Because Schoolgirls are weak against holy/dark (except Konata).
You don't need to get holy/dark strike if you do not run SG marathons on high difficulty (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif).

50 ~150 shards, I've not had that many shards ever. Even after the intro of Fatality and Overpower, I was able to get Butcher 5 twice with Dark strikes. This Axe that I got from Treesloth's auction, I poured 10 Amnesia shards into it - started off quite promising getting Butcher 3 by Lv6 but it's at Lv8 with only 1 potency left to acquire. Butcher 4 would be very nice but I won't be resetting this again no matter the outcome (I would have IW'ed it more leisurely if it wasn't for the Easter event (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) ).

By SG Marathon did you mean the DwD arena? I've noticed that you fight as much as 224 Legendaries (read:Schoolgirls) there...

First of all, I've fixed your link. Secondly, Overpower is (generally) more important than Butcher for offhand weapons. Whether Fatality is worth keeping spends on your critical hit rate, if it's not halfway decent, you might need to consider reforging it.

IWBTH is pretty easy. just get to level 250 so your Spirit Shield becomes better. You could build high defense with 1H + Shade/Power Protection to do them early.

Hellfest is not really worth it if you can't do the entire run, not with the current Energy Drink price. You'd most likely need VV, IA2, some forging on the weapons, some capacitator and juggernaut level on your armor, and crystarium 1/2 (since they're relatively cheap if you're able to get all of the above lol)

with Offhand, Swift Strike > Fatality = Overpower > Butcher.

Well, I have club mainhand so OP shouldn't be needed
It's just that I don't know if SS or Fatal makes enough a difference to make it worth reforging it.

A semi-chaosed monster or PFUDOR has a 25% extra speed. At most, I'll get 37% extra speed with SS5, the 10% faster doesn't really give me that many extra actions.

At the same time, fatality max, will maybe give me 10% more crit damage, but I would probably still need the same amount of hits to kill a monster.

Maybe I should just move on and get my hollowforge?
Or maybe I should get a new swift waki?

The most common setup is Slaughter Axe/Club mainhand and Nimble/balance Rapier/Waki off-hand
Slaughter for damage, balance for off-hand stirke chance and Nimble because DW offhand gets 50% extra parry.
Of course, some people also use Axe-Club for high stopping power.

Yes, I'd agree with Swift Strike being the best potency for an offhand. ~10% of attack speed is fancy. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/wub.gif)

If both your attack and defense are not good. Well.............. forge your shield until your defense is good enough. Then go for the slow way.

"main hand must be of slaughter" ~ can't argue with that.
Offhand is flexible depend on how you play. For example of Not Popular combination is me using Shortsword of Slaughter on offhand. Well, good enough for Hell arena. I doubt i'll ever play on PF in nearest time. But that just me (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/cool.gif)

maybe it's just me, but i'd skip hellfest. i don't hv enough time to finish arenas, so hellfest is out of the question. iirc, last time i've spent 4hrs for ~600rds of hellfest. ran out of potions & died. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/mellow.gif)

VV and RR are hath perks

VV = Vigorous Vitality
Increases your maximum health by 25%.

RR = Resplendent Regeneration
Increases both your in-combat and out-of-combat regeneration by 50%.
