QUOTE I recommend to use SS at least after you get 4th ability level (265 lvl, 25%) Until then use SoL and all other buffs like Protection, Haste, Regen, Heartseeker, (+Shadow Veil), and try to increase your specific mitigation of your armors if you can do IW yourself. 10 lvl is not required, only 4~5 level for each slot is enough. BTW I prefer Holy, Dark, Fire to other mitigations. Juggernaut is good, but don't reforge yet to get it. VV is useful if you have 250 Hath... rolleyes.gif I see... so at 4th level it triggers at >25% damage taken... Thanks a lot. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/wink.gif) OFF-TOPICQUOTE(treesloth16 @ Apr 14 2014, 14:59) BTW what does that gif in your sig mean? I don't play backgammon or jenga or whatever that board game is....
As what Cats Lover and Drakewyn said, yes it's from the anime/manga Saki. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif) I was reluctant to watch/read it thinking that it was boring and I didn't know mahjong. Then it turned out pretty interesting and I became a fanboy, learning mahjong myself. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) Edited: Well I forgot to answer what the gif means. Basically it means that tornado-hand gal keeps on winning without giving any chance to the other 3 gals and she scores higher as she keeps winning. TSUMO means winning on a self-drawn tile and winning on such way means taking points from all the other players. Pretty much the DOMINO STRIKE way~ This post has been edited by kos9494: Apr 14 2014, 09:35

Pretty much the DOMINO STRIKE way~ mahjong is fun when you play them IRL with your friends. it's basically like poker that a group of friends can play while BSing about nothing. though, like poker, there's a few variations of Mahjong. each variation is slightly different. i'd used to play the american(?!) ver in yahoo games, but i guess it's gone now. ps. Sol until lv 250 (or 265) then mix in Spirit Shield

Awww...coin prices drop again, I hope that people would hold on to their coins so as to inflate the price again. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

I am long, long, long ways away from acquiring OFC but I'd imagine you would use it every chance you get to speed up the game play or to take out large, apex level mobs in one go. It takes what 200% OC - if most of the dangerous mob has been incapacitated, slip out of SS in order to charge up the OC to get ready for the next round is just common sense. Trying to conserve Spirit points is a good habit to adapt, especially if you want to play the Marathons at PFUDOR.

(IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) i think the coin drop rate is a bit too high for some ppl to sell coins at 40-50+k each. though, i still hv problem trying to get those IW coin drops. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif) i still wanna trade 2 dogecoin for vertcoin/darkcoin. imo, it's faster for me to maintain Spirit Stance on constantly to clear rounds with 4 enemies. @5-6 enemies, you can shoot your OFC when your overcharge is 230+. ie you can still remain on spirit stance after OFC. though, sometimes you'll get some "survivors" & i'll just turn of spirit stance to build up my OC. some ppl has suggested to leave 2-4 enemies regularly to build up OC. @7+ enemies, i basically use OC to clear most of them & leave a few of them alive to build up OC for OFC. ie 1 Spirit Stance clearing rd => 1 OFC rd =>1 Spirit Stance clearing rd => etc. edit: if you can't kill off everyone with OFC (very usual on IWTBH+), you should use it while on Spirit Stance & it needs 210 OC to shoot. The advice writer (I suppose it's varst?) should add this info into the HV advice wiki. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/cool.gif) OFF-TOPICI only know HongKong and Riichi variation. I learnt HK variation from my family CNY tradition and Riichi from Saki. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

(IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/cool.gif) I just put the more general advices (those which rarely changes over time) in the wiki so we don't need to repeat that again and again. These kind of detailed strategy/playstyle advices change over time so this thread's a better place to handle them.

QUOTE What you want to do, is shrine one set of coins, and then hold on to whatever coins you get for six months, and then advertise them on WTS, because people will spend obscene amounts of credits to buy them off you. but why would people want to buy those? cuz those would be no different as simple cursor arifacts after event ends and grand prize would be unavailable

No other reason than to collect them since they'll likely never spawn again.

They have high value as collectables since they won't drop anymore after the event (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) edit: too slow ^^ This post has been edited by boulay: Apr 14 2014, 11:52

Question: Do you guys use Imperil often on non-boss/legendary monsters at high level?

Mage: Yes. Rapier & Estoc: No. Other weapon: Partially. Depends on each person and the situation.

Thanks! (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) Another question, does deprecating prof. enhance the accuracy of deprecating spells like Silence and Imperil? This isn't mentioned in the wiki so I tot I'd ask here. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif) Just want to confirm this. Magic prof. only help reducing the casting time and mana cost of spells of its type as well as increasing the duration of the spell, right?

QUOTE(Cats Lover @ Apr 14 2014, 20:09) When I did further experiment I noticed that some mobs are able to "resist" my Imperil and Silence... I'm currently having 50 deprecating prof. at my level and I often "miss" my spell. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif) Guess it's time to train my deprecating prof. once again.
