not really. spend a lot of credits to get my guy up to PL711 & today it brought me 1 MG Metal. Yesterday, it was a MG Leather. seriously, 2 wins, 1 killing blow & only 1 MG gift. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/anime_cry.gif)

let me elaborate... Slaughter more than doubles each piece of power armors' ADB. A minor increase in crit via balance armor won't even be close to doubling your damage. So you load up on Slaughter, and if need be, pack on some Plate of Protection. This was the generally the best way to play 2H. But 2H is so terrible, no one wants plate of protection anymore.

If Tenboro wants ' of Balance' to be better, I think crit% it should be additive, not multiplicative.

Make power balance have 5-10% more critical damage on each piece is good enough IMO.

That's perfect for now.
As for the power armor, eventually at around level 250 but not this instant. right now you don't have enough PMI/MMI/block to use full power of anything. plate of protection (with shielding prefix if you can find any) will keep you alive.

Only full power slaughter and full power protection are viable. Full power warding and full power balance are just bad and they need to be mixed with slaugher or protection to be decent.

cotton is usually sup quality, while leather doesn't drop anymore for me... i suppose plate is still the less undesiderable class, right?

Depends. I didn't see any generally better drops until LotD got to 22 and exq's started dropping frequently. I'd say QM just to get more frequent drops in that case.
