What do I need to make my character stronger? It is so hard to fight in IWTBH or PRU mode (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)
I m using an ethereal mace and shade armor.
Should I have to change fighting style?

Cos you guys always stress about mana conservation, so I assume that mana would be a big problem in SG (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)

Mana conservation should be one of the factor deciding how fast you can go, which is important. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

This one's damage output isn't that great, but you should try that first to see if you like the lack of defense (i.e. being hit more often) for better offense.

You're doing it with Wind or Holy? Did you have to forge your armor to do DwD, or just a forged staff is enough?

Dark but holy would be slightly better, usually take the better set you have.

You can do it with any kind of stuff but it'll be bothersome with lot of ET and improved drain. With more forging, you'll go faster up to the point you shouldn't need to ET anymore but this should be really expensive.

Edit: aether shard + featherweight and eventually voidseeker if you have to ET will help you greatly in your first tries.

How about trading equipments? This Mace for the first one on your list?

I'm curious, has any mage attempted PFUDOR SG? Is it even possible for mages?

I would go with the estoc.

Can you do PFUDOR DwD using wind without needing to ET/Focus though? I'm curious if an elemental mage can ever get to the point where that's possible. I can do the first two schoolgirl marathons on PFUDOR without needing to ET/Focus, but if I try that on DwD I'll run out of potions.

Well as soon as I could find a good staff, forge it, then train my AP high enough to duo play mage with melee (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

EDIT: on the subject of maging, between Katalox of Destruction and Oak of Heimdal, what would be better for holy maging?

not really. 1H is the safest way to play at IWBTH/PFUDOR but it might not be to your liking. i say try them all and see what works for you.
if you plan on sticking with 2H shade and want to optimize damage output then you should either:

a: IW your mace and pray you end up with a useful strike. reforge it first if you can; overpower is useless for mace
b: consider switching to estoc. its not as safe as a mace but the damage output is significantly higher
c: find a better ethereal mace and IW that one instead
d: upgrade all your armors for ones that have higher ADB rolls (specifically your breastplate and helmet since they're both missing STR)
e: ignore this post entirely and go 1H power or DW shade

oh, and bring your end and agi up to where your dex is. try not to keep them too far apart.

I recently shrined 4k SG trophies and did not receive anything worth selling. I got few HG mats from salvaging the high pxp exquisites.

The sale price of those equipments is well below the cost in WTB.

Generally, its a money sink, but there can be good things come out of it. Now that you can get a peerless from shrines, its worth it even more to gamble.
The cost of trophies is nothing to a lot of players, so it only makes sense to gamble for a leg/peerless item.
Basically, its best to sell all of your trophies unless you either don't need the income, or want to try for a peerless.

What little trophies I've shrined, I am in the minus. Meaning, none of the gear I'd received was worth the price of the trophies in the WTB.
