Hi, I need some advice.

This is my current outfit:
Exquisite Ethereal Wakizashi of the Nimble
Exquisite Force Shield of Dampening
Exquisite Shade Helmet of the Arcanist
Exquisite Shade Breastplate of the Shadowdancer
Exquisite Shade Gauntlets of the Shadowdancer
Exquisite Shade Leggings of the Fleet
Magnificent Shade Boots of the Fleet

and my stats:



With this I can do randoms on PFUDOR reliably, it just takes a long time (5-10 minutes) to kill a large mob.
But the higher arenas take forever.
What can I do to improve this? I have two other decent weapons, these ones:
Exquisite Fiery Rapier of the Nimble
Exquisite Tempestuous Wakizashi of the Nimble

So what's the best way for me to do Eternal Darkness? End of Days took me over two hours on normal difficulty, I had no trouble surviving but killing the Schoolgirls took forever and the next one has over twice as many of them.
I am currently out of funds to buy better gear.
So what should I do?
IW one of my weapons? Level up some more with randoms? Grin and bear it?
What should I put in my battle slots? (I have 15 potion slots and 5 scroll slots)
I have several of each type of infusion, what would be the best way to use them for a long arena?

Get rapier/power of slaughter, or switch to DW.
Schoolgirls need to spam skill to kill quickly (Shield Bash - Vital Strike). My pre-OFC strategy is to attack the mobs to gain OC, then use skill on SG (O
Use infusion of holy and dark, Schoolgirls are weak against them. Enchant them before battle.

if you plan on sticking with 1H shade, you're going to need to a good rapier or axe of slaughter to get the most out of it. you can always get a better shield to make up for the lost parry. the axe/rapier doesn't need to be ethereal but it does need to be level 10.

you also need at least 200 1H prof. get to the last round of T&T on normal and don't attack the tree. you can grind for damn near 1000 rounds; more if you equip a worse shield(or none at all).

you could also just say fuck it and go DW shade, 2H shade, or 1H power of whatever

as for infusions, holy and dark are the most useful for SG runs, followed by wind, then everything else

check The Lazy Bastard in WTS. he'll probably sell you something for what you've got.
if not i'm sure someone(including myself) has an axe or a rapier lying around that's too good to bazzar but not good enough to sell to anyone else for much of a profit.

you're gonna need to save for a better shield though(not that you need it)

I suggest going DW since you're using light. Evade doesn't activate counter-attack, which possible one reason you're taking so much time to kill. Your rapier looks good for an off-hand with a nice parry chance, though the PA chance is not very good. Just grab a cheap axe or club of slaughter for main hand, and you should be seeing an increase in killing speed, especially if you use the DW skills which are very good at dealing damage to single targets.

Edit: Keep your current loadout for Randoms though. Better to survive but take longer, than try to kill fast and lose the exp. And what's your ping? It seems to me that your internet speed might actually be a larger factor in increasing your killing time.

I do use the HV stats script, which does slow things down a bit, but it helped me go from Battletoads to PFUDOR for the randoms.

Both suck, get an Exquite Ethereal Axe slaughter for 20k or something (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/sleep.gif)

The second one's better. Higher str, dex and base damage. That's a really nice ping you got there, so i just don't see how it should take you 5-10 mins to clear random encounter on PUFDOR, even if there were 10 mobs.

There are two versions of HVStat, one for chrome, one for firefox. You need get the correct one, and the FF version requires greasemonkey. If you were to look at the earlier images posted by fatquack, there's a little square box at the top right corner of his screen. That's the settings button for HV Stat so if it's not there, the script isn't active/hasn't been installed correctly.

No, counters are activated upon blocks and parries. Blocks will stop all forms of attacks, be it regular, SP, or MP attacks. Parries will stop physical type damages, even skills. But those skills must be physical attacks, and not magical. I don't remember how to differentiate between physical and magical skills.

I don't remember how to differentiate between physical and magical skill.

IIRC monster "uses" (or crits) physical attack, and "casts" (or blasts) magical attack.

If I have to guess...cast speed, anti-resist, something like that. Mixing a cotton with 4 phases may not be a bad idea, provided that you've sufficient damage output.

For HVSTAT, he'll need to use the packaged version i.e. the one for chrome. For some other scripts, it's fine to use the .js version.

.crx is just a packaged script for chrome like zip/rar.
