Why is (Holy/Dark+Void) better than (Void+Random Elemental Strike)?

Does Holy/Dark damage give that much of an advantage over elemental damage?

aside from Konata, most School Girls are weak to Holy/Dark damages and they hv very high fire/cold/wind/elec resistence. for me, that means an extra 2000+ elementary damage for the School Girl (SG) runs, ie the last 3 Arena runs.

if you weapon has Holy/Dark + Void, you can use some Storm infusion then you'll have a weapon with Holy/Dark + Void + Wind which will make your SG runs faster/easier.

ps. it's just my 2 cents anyway. i'm sure some people will prefer ethereal or don't mind redoing IW to get Void + Holy/Dark strike on a ethereal weapon.

That makes sense I guess. Another thing I wanted to ask is what should be a good block chance for a good shield?

but unless you're loaded, i think anything above 37+% is fine. of course, the higher the better.

iirc, there's one with 3PAB with 37% block for ~50k. then there's a few with high-37.x% (ie 37.8%) for 100-200k. there's one in the weekly auctions too.

IMO:
Best: Ethereal rapier with dark strike. But it is hard to get holy/dark after you get LV5 of something.
2nd: Holy weapon with LV10 (void strike), because it have healing bonus.
3rd: Dark weapon with LV10 (void strike)

Holy and dark is much better than elemental because of the monsters' resist is generally lower for dark , followed by holy .
Also , most of the bosses are weak to either of holy or dark .

It's 5%. Also, there's a cap so you can't go to level 500 solely with dawn EXP.

Capped at 100,000,000,000 (level 464+).

You will try to max all of the exp bonus when you want to level up. Optimal is not an option.
BTW, most of my exp are from the daily bonus recently.

1) you can temporarily add another element via infusions, or even change the damage type to void with voidseeker shard, both in forge and up to 3 different strikes.

2) IW (Item world) is a battle mode in which you could unlock a series of potencies for your weapon/armor: at the end, every damage type will be converted in void, and every ethereal weapon gains a random elemental strike, which is btw the subject of the above conversation. in my opinion, nothing you should worry about at your current level, either because you wouldn't be able to clear it in a reasonable amount of time or because at your level there aren't many equip worthy to start it.

3) it depends on the monster you are challenging and the battle modes you are using. at your level probably it's the same thing, going on and without doing schoolgirl arenas i don't know if there is really a difference or a matter of tastes only (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)
surely, in some contests it's better an hollowforged hallowed rather than an ethereal + holy strike

imo, the new system is suppose to decrease the spam threads, because your post count doesn't really effect your "power".

yes, that's an all-or-nothing matter.

you can gain them as match clear bonus (every difficulty except normal) or buy from shops, at prices from 10k to 15k (at least the last time i checked for them)

imo, don't worry about it for now. just try to lv up as fast as possible.

amnesia shards are kinda rare. i'd assume they're as rare as token drops (?!). generally, ~10-12k each. so to reset a Max lv item back to lv0 will cost 10 shards (1 shard per level).

however, imo, IW is the most frustrating thing in the game. you can easily sink 20+shards just to get lv5 Butcher and if you want a sometime more specific then you'll have to spend more shards. if that doesn't sound bad enough, it takes ~12-16 runs @ IWTBH to Max out a item with each run being 50-70rounds. the final kicker is, you'll get less credits in IW & the drop quality seems to be worst than Arena.

ps. or maybe i just hv really bad luck with IW.

no, it's a different bonus, the one every spammer is wanting is one given for 30 posts for not more than month ago, gives +100% exp as I remember

don't know about the script though. it's not like you'll really need it with ethereal/level 10 weapons anyway
