how do you feel about leather equip?
I was thinking about mixing 1 or 2 agile leather of deflection to boost my attack speed and piercing protection in addition to 3 shade leather...of the shadowdancer.
Is it worth to get higher quality deflection items or is the piercing protection not as valuable as the attack dmg?

also which 2h weapon would fit best a mace or a longsword

the main points of using shade are to add attack and augment evade compared to leather; on the other hand, it completely lacks of piercing mitigation and is heavily affected by burden, thus mixing them is a bit risky.
i started to think myself to add a deflection piece with very low burden (less than 4) to a full shade set, but i didn't find it any useful, the ~5 points evade boost was far more useful.
let's see if someone here had different experiences...

as for the weapon, i started with longsword (as many others, i think), then switched to an estoc and actually i'm in love with a mace, domino stun is really gorgeous (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

Hmmm not sure I like the new phase, whilst it seems like some of the pab rolls now come up higher, I've lost about 4% parry in return for a decent increase to resist. The issue being that the majority of monsters are physical.

I'm not playing much either, just doing daily arenas from trio&tree and descending ones on normal (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/happy.gif)

that's mostly what i do too. i tend to average ~200c/round doing that on IWTBH after selling everything.

I got 211 lvl of adept learner (always had my henjutsu training busy) + thinking cap hathperk (got a week ago or so)

btw, cuirass seems like an overkill for defense with its mitigations, no?

i've heard the higher lvl guys talked about mixing plate & power as a cheaper way survive 100+rd PF arenas. though, i'd imagine you need some forging for full power set to survive 100+rds of PF arenas, no?

Not true with 1H.

I can do all arenas except DwD on PFUDOR before I forge anything. It's even easier to faceroll (but slightly slower) for people wearing power of protection/warding.

Facerolling = running through stuffs without, or with little cure/defend/paying attention

Fus ro dah is useless in PFUDOR, cost is too high and damage is too low (1/5th of OFC). It might be viable in low difficulty run, like Hellfest due to its low cooldown, but I haven't tested yet.

Useless IMO, and you need to give up the damage bonus for that.

imo, everything below <Exquisite that's not power = bazaar. though, i would try to just lvl up as fast as possible and worry about that later.

though, some rare Superior stuff like Power/Force shield might be able to sell in WTS section. especially, Power Slaughter stuff with good damage roll.

don't know much about salvage, but it seems like anything <pxp 310 is not worth salvaging. about a month ago, i've saved up about 100 <pxp310 stuff and end up getting mostly scraps (worth nothing) & low-grade mats (that's worth only 40c). only very few mid-grade (~400c).

Superior Ethereal, Superior Shade, Superior Power, see if players will buy.
Exquisite+, see if players will buy.

i've tried that too, but i've found out that i'm not killing stuff fast enough and end up using most of my potions <70rds @IWTBH. maybe it's different with OFC or even FUS RO DAH, but i've neither.

also, maybe i'm just using a mixed of Power balance/warding/protection gear. i think you can mix shielding plate and hv the slaughter gears compensate for the damages.

get a full set prot power so you cant be wrong with it since atleast a magni force shild with max block roll is allready hard to get so relay on pmi/dmg what protec power gives you also they are cheap to get just pay attention that overall rolls on them fit your taste.
allone with a a rapier/force/protec power you should reach 150%~ acc with buff from 1hand 200% acc so there is no need for balance power,
and yeah ofc does shit dmg if you mix in plate with no adb, even more crit from balance power armor would not kill any faster if you lack a forged shild or good pmi from protec power, coz you would stuck to heal as soon groups get big with 5+ mops. if you dont have a nice rapier with high % also high turns what would make your life easy then go hunting in shops.... you dont even need for sure a ethereal or dark/holy one, anything will do for just arena aslong it has void dmg also void strike also 1x rnd strike, if you dont plan to do festing then you dont need a very good set to reach fast clear times anyway.

Get a good shield (with high block) is the most important thing for 1H. Power Slaughter is good but not a must.

Guess I should go for protection then. Think it was cheaper when looking around the shops.

Teresa: Eh, idk about power of prot prices (don't really look at it given that power of prot is an example of sacricing some offense for some defense and getting neither), but if you speak truth they must be seriously low as 1H is the style that benefits from mixing plate (with shielding prefix) in the most, as it can actually give more offense.
