QUOTE(Drakewyn @ Mar 5 2014, 05:19) I'm reasonably happy with my gear... imo, if you improve your parry chance on 1H (ie ~38% or a rapier with 19+% parry), you can do the first page Arena on PFUDOR and everything on 2nd page on IWTBH (except SG). QUOTE(zen_zen @ Mar 4 2014, 20:01) @tempasdf, I am certain that your first language is not English, but your somewhat incoherent rambling reminds me of the days when I was strung out on dope, have a Eureka moment, grab a pen and feverishly write it down thinking that it will be a masterpiece, only to find out in the morning that it was all gibberish. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) I lol'd due to a flashback. Don't miss those days. HV: my anti-drug.

I wonder how the anti-parry from Overpower (weapon potency) and Overwhelming Strike (1H unique proc) stack. Are they multiplicative or additive?
I.e if I had 4 Overpower and got a 2 stack Overwhelming Strike proc'ed, how much anti-parry would I have in total?

My hammerMy AxeRapier 1Rapier 2I'm considering IW'ing Rapier 2 once I get a bit more done on my armor. your setup is pretty similar to mine and we're bidding on similar stuff too. your armor might even be better than mine since you outbid me a few times. imo, try to get a Rapier of Slaughter with some elementary strike. even a cheaper one ~100k (38+ base dmg + 16+% parry) can do wonders. once you get that going, you can do pg2 arenas on IWTBH which should net you a few Mags every week. i generally only do "trio of the tree" + "eve of death" + "to kill a god". generally takes me <2hrs with storm infusion. that'll be a good source of income in auctions that'll keep the ball rolling. ie more money =>better armor => faster clearing => more money. ps just curious, what's with your odd bids? (ie 11.4k) This post has been edited by malkatmp: Mar 5 2014, 10:31

I'm an accountant and have studied economics a lot... After studying the bidding, I noticed that almost everyone will bid minimum amounts, or multiples of the bid amount.
By bidding an odd amount, I throw people off. If I bid 10k, then someone will bid 20k. But if I bid 11.4k, their brains are wired for multiples of 10, so they're thinking "is it worth 30k"?
Unless I get a lucky drop, I rarely have more than 200k... ever. So, the bigger bids (like 74.3k) will either get heavily out-bid (like 150k), or I'll win the item.

I would not bother levelling Rapier 2. It has a very good damage and the potential for even more but high ADB in an offhand is not a big advantage. The reason for using a Nimble Rapier is for the parry but on your rapier it is way below par. My offhand is a Balance Rapier has nearly twice the attack accuracy and even has a slightly higher Parry chance than yours. I could understand why you would want to level it - with Butcher 5 or Fatality 5, your rapier could become quite deadly but a Nimble's raison d'etre is to parry the enemy attack. If you are prepared to sink a sh*tload of nimble bindings and HG metal into this rapier to bring the Parry Chance up to ExMax, by all means go ahead. If not I'd look for something else.

Now that i start to run out of stamina i wonder, is it better to just buy ED, or better to stop selling Precursor Artifacts and shrine it myself for stats and ED. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/huh.gif)

I was thinking about selling noodle artifact cuz it barely even gives exquisites ;p but precursor is awesome and gives awesome things - see no reason to sell it especially before you get maximum stats from it

(IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/huh.gif) Sell Artifact and buy ED will save you more money Shrining your artifact will give you stats.
