asked around abit @ mage player about how to handel mp/sp need in arena, always same answer dmg, dmg, dmg (forge/dmg perk).

seriously, tryed last weekend a bit to mage again after long time, with exqui phase and focus oak to get back on track ... anyway i thought from my lvl alone forges cant be somuch needed to do simple pfudor arenas, but it is (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/heh.gif) . anyway since speed fix it seems juggernauts on all phase pieces are a must to avoid sparking alot (iwing seems cheapest way aside forging) but i didn started to iw for just exqui phase... trying/testing for just a weekend only.

anyway, back to mp/sp need in arena (used a 25%mc focus oak), draining with holy spell the mp seems very slow since 3-4 spell kills a group anyway a drain tick only leeched about 40mp or so and even have to bother to silence them so they dont accidently use their skills, since drains leech amount is based how full the mp bar is from the monster, seriously what a bother how slow this options is to leech. sigh.(diffrent matter/effectivity on SGs mc prog also holy mpdrain this works fine (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif) )
since magic missel is removed no free mc progs anymore, weaken spell seems the cheapest to cast to prog mc
and hit with staff for Ether Tap, again a damn slow way to get back mp... even with staffprof acc and melee acc
on the newer phase having about 160% meele acc dont looks like making it easyer to prog Ether Tap with all this parrys in pfudor at that time mc just runs outs and stacking 2x Ether Tap for about 40mp each tick dont worth the time doing/trying so, sloooooooow. next try was with weaken 3 mops of a almost killed group, hiting them until OC bar was full, now casted sleep
focused until OC bar was empty keep repeating this rota, work way better as all this holydrain/Ether Tap crap.
have about 1250 base magic, 250OC/25=10xfocuses (10x 62,5= 625mp), seriously hiting on the weaken mops next casting sleep fallowed to focus worked the best/safest and fasted way from this 3 options how to get back mana and obvicous if you have mana you can drain with dark spells for sp.

resolt: focus on weaken&sleeped mops with dark spells sp drain sloted abilitys on TT and below arenas.
about marathons having sp potions and holy spells drain sloted worked okay. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/rolleyes.gif)

all this without bothering to iw phase for juggernauts or forgeing it at all or madly pimp your staff either. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/duck.gif)

befor anyone trys it too, you should have atleast 4ia and hp/mp/sp perks and also about similar/higher lvl to have it a bit easyer. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/ph34r.gif)

Use Spirit Shield + Spark of Life all the time. Learn to use Defend when you can feel incoming danger (eg. 5+ monster with full mana/spirit)
So it's like 2H+power with less defense and no stun mechanism. Yeah don't get lazy with recasting SS and SoL

I do use SoL all the time. But with higher difficulties spirit shield doesn't proc that often but SoL procs a ton. That's because whenever a monster uses an ability they can pretty much kill me on IWBTH or higher in one shot.

Defend does absolutely nothing for me. Against like 7-9 enemies I can sometimes go from full health to dead or 25% without any monster really using abilities. Just all of them landing hits at the same time.

Also it takes a lot of healing to do anything on Nintendo+ because monsters DO hit hard. Even on hell arenas I can lose like 30-40% life against 1-2 monsters in a turn without it being a spirit attack.

Why do you need to use drain at all in arenas? Should be killing everything as fast as possible. Drain only helpful during SGs or grindfest.

Damn, I wonder how far it's possible for a mage to go on Hell/PFUDOR. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif) I've been entertaining some strategies in my head, but I've never bothered trying them out. I'm sure monster resist will inevitably fuck everything up in the end.

With Hellfest it comes down to managing resources; I get to around 800 and then run out of mana. I'm sure there are players who can finish it. I don't try PFUDOR. My ping got worse, so I'm not even playing that much anymore.

i should train also pack rat 2 though

it is wrong to take IA2 before pack rat 10 especially not playing something with large number of turns
preferably to invest in drop training for credits and revise game towards using of more potions
playing without SoL at your level is one of the main reason why u cant do PF RE
the only place where the player can afford to die is grindfest
otherwise u need more potions/lower diff/better equip
or it means that you do something wrong
pause game and think a little
about SoL and potions
and stop using SS
before 265/285

Heck, I've only got Pack Rat 3 and I very rarely use most of my potions at any given run... even my Nintendo IWs.
I can do the first 3 arenas on PFUDOR... sometimes the 4th one, if I'm lucky.
I can, if I get 5 or less monsters, do REs on PFUDOR... otherwise, I have to do them on IWBTH.
I might also have time to do an IW run on Nintendo... anything harder, I'll get killed.

I was playing arenas on Hell only for credits so until my LotD is far from maximal no point to play them on PF before I could easily pass PF Trio, but after post of hate for mid (i call 220-284) level players in this thread coz of their results tried it.. did A5/A7/A12/A15/A20/A25/A30/A35 on PF and stop coz this exhausting, takes longer and currently gives less credits per minute than Hell
but to score more rounds already need to revise my game either wait 265/285 level (coz not using SS before it, only SoL - only hardcore)
I guess my equipment is much worse than yours coz i'm using only droped/bazaar but it is enough for better results
the conclusion is that you also do something wrong and I hope advice above will help you too

I don't really understand what you're saying, but to the point of "the trio and the tree" I beat it at level 250 right when I was able to go to that arena. I play as a mage and my equipment are mediocre at best, even though they are all exquisite. I got each piece of equipment, shoes, pants, robe, staff, etc. below 50k.
I have no hath perks but what I did get was packrat up to level 8.
The difficult was on normal and I barely beat it.

Hi, which is the script that shows the monsters HP on their healthbar? I've seen it on some screenshots here and it seems handy.

HV STAT shows monsters HP & tracks a lot of other stuff. It's useful, but can be pretty laggy, especially, when it gathers a lot of data.

I'm most people just make one to suit their needs, and usually make it part of something else, so it's a hassle to release it

Made sure to carry a decent credit balance today, and as if to taunt me the light armor in the shop shows PAGES of shit. Mag shade, LEGENDARIES to boot. Never seen legendaries in shop before. Choose one, "item not found" and it's down to one page of crap. [enrages] what the shit?! [/enrages]

Whatever. Walked off and calmed down. Holy demon... any of your scripts setup for shop mining like that or could be customized to do that? Not interested in it personally, but curious what kind of work that would take to develop and how prolific that kind of mining might be.

Most insane 5 seconds of my day seeing shit happen like that I swear.

2H weapons: Mace (default) - Estoc (currently abandoning it)

Power Armor (still WIP, used for grinding): Helmet - Armor - Gauntlets - Leggings - Boots

1H weapons: Rapier - Shield

and as backup a DW set (but i prefer domino strike), a Niten and a leather one; as you can see i have a crush for heavy 3/shade 4 PABs pieces, so usually i don't buy something that doesn't have one of those. also, actually can't afford a 3PABs Exq slaughter one, otherwise i'd have already bought it XD suggestions?

Can be easily made from my HV Item Filter. You just need to make an auto-page refresh (which is easy), mess a bit with the CSS selectors (a little harder), and simulate item click -> item buy (easy). The scripts can only buy items by name, not stats (e,g "(Exquisite|Magnificent|Legendary|Peerless).*Power.*Slaughter" to buy all exq+ power slaughter). For stats, you'd need to copy pasta some code from HV Equipment (semi-hard).

For high level player, It wouldn't be as profitable as you made it sound to be . And I'd sooner find a legend drop than find a profitable piece of equip. Leg Leathers in particular are a dime a dozen for me (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/sleep.gif) Also, if I were to make a equipment shop script for my own use, I'd have to think about detection avoidance (since, you know, botting is bannable here) and that's the hardest/most annoying part. Since you have no idea what the site admin (aka Tenb) would be using, you'd be living in constant anxiety and paranoia (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

In theory, shop botting is easier to detect than Battle botting. Tenb can just screen you out by filtering the rate of your requests for Equipment page. 1500 requests for equip page in the last 24 hours (~1 refresh/s) would look very suspicious. Comparatively, 10000 requests for battle in 1 hour is normal.

Seems like a giant pain in the ass time and effort wise if you were doing that to keep up with it and try to make any profit. If that is the cause (and not random shop refresh/cleansing of crap) for seeing that happen it pisses me off simply because it's cheating.

I am not sure whether that last paragraph was directed at me or not but it seems that based on your personal experience of playing HV, you have concluded that it is impossible to clear TT&TT at highest difficulty level for players under level 265, and anyone who says otherwise must be lying.
