Don't really know much about shielding armor, so is it worth something?

The PABS aren't that bad, they're close to SMax, You might get 100k or a little more at auction or you might just get a 50k start bid... it really depends on who's buying at the time. I'm an elemental mage, and my damage is really small due to its very high resistances.. only managed to decrease a bit more than half of its HP before i ran out of potions (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/cry.gif)

I'm thinking to change into a physical attacker but i don't know which style to choose (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif)

Imperil is a must spell, if you insist to use elemental spell there.
BTW, you can wait until your level getting higher.

Play on normal difficulty, then slowly raise difficulty
Bring 1 health pot, 2 spirit the rest mana
Debuff with Imperil, spike shield, Weaken, and Silence (if you have them)

1H+Force+Power is the Flavor of the Month, and can get very expensive to play.
2H+Shade is more economical, but not as versatile. It's similar to mage in the sense that you will need a lot of forging to make it work.
Frankly, I'd advise you to stick with elemental maging, since mid-tier phase and staffs are very affordable.

You forgot DW leather, which is the cheapest and still work well at lower level (200-).

just curious, what's the benefit of having a full shielding set (like the one in your signature ~61% block)?
it's very survivable & tanky, but less damage output with just a weapon without Power, no?

2H Leather is cheaper. A mace or estoc is cheaper than an axe/club + rapier (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) Anyway, leather works for you because you forge your axe. Otherwise it will be incredibly boring to play.

To be honest it was an experiment and the only decent way to link to my peerless piece. Mostly now it's for bragging rights XD

Since I tried it I've exclusively used 1H with shade becuase it's so safe... I beat Eternal Darkness on PFUDOR with it and still had 4 spirit potions (didn't use any of them) and 3 mana potions left. The one difference to normal is I had spark of life disabled to conserve MP. The downside is it took me an hour an a half (I only forged my rapier to have an hour worth of holy strike so I might have shaved a few minutes off that with a few extra infusions).

Power kills faster but I heal a LOT more and burn out my MP too fast. The huge evade doesn't allow parry/block to trigger as much so less stun and overpower, but also less damage.

I'm not sure if there are many my level who've beaten Eternal Darkness on PFUDOR. Any takers for that challenge?

Furthermore it might be a really good pair with arcanist/shadowdancer shade set for long runs.

Light DW is faster and easier than light 1H for DwD IMO.

Just out of interest, what advantage does that buckler give over a force shield apart from less interference? It gives way less block too :/ All I can see is minor PAB advantages and a small amount of crushing/piercing/slashing mitigation...

A while back, I noticed something about Imperil and my Ethereal weapon.

When I Imperiled the monster and hit him, I noticed my Void Strike doing more damage... and even my weapon's void damage doing more.

So, I tested it again today.

Having just used Imperil while running a PFUDOR arena... I noticed that I killed the monsters at least 10% faster... sometimes more. One giant I hit a couple of times, noted the damage, then Imperiled and hit a few more times. When the giant was imperiled, I did more damage. The giant was already stunned when I started this because of a counterattack.

Now ask animeai why they outbid me on a Force Shield that was in every way inferior to one they already had...

You need to have some stock of infusions to do that. I am still trying to scrounge enough credits together to buy better gear.
