Something to note... Did you have all your buffs on? Protection, Shadow Veil, Haste & Regen? I don't think you're high enough at 111 to have Heartseeker, but that's an invaluable buff.

Another good thing about Stun, is that it prevents monsters from Parrying/Evading your attacks. It's what makes Sleep such a powerful spell and 1h+Shield a popular combat style.

Yup. First thing I do is Protection -> Regen -> Haste -> Shadow Veil,
don't have heartseeker.
I'm considering buying a bunch of Scroll of Shadows for use instead of casting Shadow Veil, because I don't currently have the ability points to put into upping shadow veil, and scrolls are more effective anyway. I feel like that may help a lot.
Now, what do I do about armour? I have a full set of superior shade fleet. Is shadowdancer better? Or should I now start trying to get >3 PABs Exq+ shade fleet?

Both Leather and Shade are classified as Light Armour, so they can be mixed together and still get the equipment bonus.

I understand the theory but when you do get hit while wearing Shade for the first time the amount of damage can be devastating. I had Leg Leather kit when I started thinking of migrating to Shade and I had the good fortune to have a complete Exq Fleet set loaned to me. The Shade definitely increased my attack but the loss in HP, PMI was far greater and got me killed pretty quickly trying to clear the Arenas I had routinely cleared while wearing Leather. The solution is to migrate one piece at a time giving yourself plenty of time to adjust to the changes in the players characteristics.

Shade sacrifices mitigation for evade, leather's burden kills your evade.

I agree, it takes time to adjust, but I see dying as part of that adjustment process.

imo, it's worth it. you'll still have your shadow veil/spirit shield/protection/regen/etc.

on the other hand, i just got this drop (Exquisite Shielding Plate Sabatons of Deflection), what is this shielding stuff? i thought they're no longer dropped, no?

I didn't do the maths. I tried it and the result is very bad.
My leather set is great for defense, but killing slow.
My shade set is not good but still give me reasonable protection and attack speed.
Mix them and I got poor defense and attack.

Yes and No. The spell damage is great but the PABS are a little weak. You're probably looking in the 2-3mil range at auction, maybe a bit more on a good day, less on a bad day.

Is spirit shield useful? I'm not sure if I should get stronger spirit or not.

I play as a mage if that makes any difference

ofc it is. If you want to play on high difficulty´s such as PFUDOr, IWTBH and so on.
Otherwise they will just one shot you and you will die.

4 PAB heavy doesn't drop anymore, Bonebuster - they have attack crit damage instead of AGI.

And on that note, supmax PMI, supmax+ ADB, all the PABs...I'm sorry, what exactly is wrong with it? Sure, the PAB rolls or specific mits may not be great ones, but most people cannot be brothered to account for latter at all. Ex power armor going for 7-digit isn't exactly news.

For me that's a 200k auction bid maximum (although I do go for lowball offers unles I really want the piece)... the ADB is decent but not fantastic. Everything else is pretty average :/ If it wasn't an chest piece with the 120% bonus it would be in the 1500k range, so a helmet with the same stats would certainly be up there - perhaps the buyer made a(n expensive) mistake?
