QUOTE(iDShaDoW @ Feb 16 2014, 08:41) Not sure what you mean by changing the custom fonts.
That's the cause right there. Pretty much any script that modifies UI won't support the default font engine. Go to characters->settings to change to custom font engine. This post has been edited by holy_demon: Feb 16 2014, 00:06

I do have HVStats running without issue.
I went and changed it to custom fonts and restarted Chrome but still nothing.
Just to be sure I'm using it properly, I press C, get the item window, hover my mouse over ADB, it shows the base stat, then press W and it's supposed to display the range?

maybe you got the wrong script. provide a link from where you downloaded from. There are new and old ones. Maybe you got an old one pre-0.76 patch or something.

Did you download the script here? Also, open Console Window of the pop-up (hotkey: Ctrl+Shft+J when the item window is on selected. Copy down its content here.

What kind of set up do elemental mages run nowadays? Do you focus on one element? Spell damage? Or proficiency? Or MDB and INT? Cloth? Do you level melee stats (STR and DEX) a lot closer (to character level?)?

Anything on userscripts.org tends to be for firefox with grease monkey only iirc? Using chrome with it is most likely to be the issue here. I use that script on firefox and have no problems with it at all.

If I have the developer console up and the "C" window active and press Q, W, E, R nothing shows up. If I have the developer console as the active window it just shows the letters I type. Maybe I should try it in Firefox to see; was planning to reformat my computer soon anyhow after I find out where my friend's iPhone backup is located since his phone broke today. Edit: HVStats works in Firefox but the other doesn't. (IMG:[ i.imgur.com] http://i.imgur.com/vPM5CAF.png) This post has been edited by iDShaDoW: Feb 16 2014, 04:52

The script should run fine on Firefox, Chrome, Iron, and Opera (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/sleep.gif) QUOTE(iDShaDoW @ Feb 16 2014, 13:36) If I have the developer console up and the "C" window active and press Q, W, E, R nothing shows up.

Edit:
HVStats works in Firefox but the other doesn't.
With HVStats you have to use the ".crx" file to use it with Chrome/Iron/Opera I can't really think of anything wrong with your browser. The script should still work with default font engine, even with some layout mishaps. Still, I'd recommend you to use custom font, since a lot scripts need it to work. (Some functions of HVStat also needs custom font to work, such as HP/MP/SP alert) Also you don't need to reformat your computer to change browser. Talk about overkill (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) This post has been edited by holy_demon: Feb 16 2014, 05:28

Lol, I have custom font configured but the equipcompare script doesn't seem to wanna work in Chrome or Firefox.
I've been meaning to reformat for awhile now plus I have a new Samsung 840 EVO SSD that's been sitting around since Black Friday.
Now I'm running into issues with Windows 7 installation throwing me a "setup was unable to create system partition yadda yadda" message lol. One thing after another.

Elemental mages:Popularity has shifted a bit used to be Wind by a far margin, Cold, Lightning then Fire, now electric and possibly even fire have become a bit more popular. The strategy is mostly the same, running phase focusing on one element EDB. With Staffs of Destruction generally the most popular, but sometimes people go for staffs if EDB is maxed out. Counter resist has become more popular for elemental where available, which is possibly why electric has become more popular due to willow staffs. Int and Wis are still the core PABS kept mostly the same and vital for equips. New phase doesn't have Dex and people are buying phase gear that doesn't even have agility. Its a bit of a balancing act between getting more resist and sacrificing parry between choosing old or new phase gear. However unless you have excellent gear already, the majority of good equips on the market will be newer phase. Players with only new phase may have parry that's up to 30% lower than mages with old gear, I'd like to know if the resist makes up for that? Wis = Int > End > Agility > Dex STR = 0-low I keep Wis/Int the same and End, Agility and Dex not that far behind. Cloth Good proficiency on the staff is sufficient to get back the counter resist lost to the emperil nerf. It might be possible to benefit by replacing items with the lowest EDB, such as shoes, with an extremely high end proficiency gossamer/cloth but generally phase will be better still for elemental mages.

This would be interesting to find out. Anecdotally, I'm leaning towards Parry because it's a roll that happens on nearly every hit. Resist only rolls when a monster uses a magic-based skill, and since mages typically finish rounds in about 8 or less turns, how often does that happen? But as older phase is gradually phased out, mages putting together new suits or upgrading old ones aren't left with much choice but to go with resist.
