yes. generally, IA1 for Haste, IA2 for shadow veil/spirit shield. imo, IA2 is already pretty expensive. IA3-5 is overkill if you've that much Hath laying around.

serious, IA3 cost 250Haths, that's 2.25 million credits (@9k/hath). it can buy you a decent set of equipment+weapon. hell, i would rather max out my "inventory slot" before thinking about IA3.

Apparently some people are very needy and have nothing to eat, so they need to throw haths away because they're scared no one will want to buy their hath, which would result in starvation.

Its just returning back to 8.6-8.8k. It was a huge surge that sent it over 10k and it was demand for the new perks that probably kept it at 9.8k.

What, you haven't trained all of the Battle Slots yet? (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) Doing so will let you train profs longer and last longer in the various Arena at higher difficulties for better drops (or so the theory goes). I know for sure that without them I would not be able to play HV at the highest levels, which I've been doing since around Lv225 or so.

I only have IA1 and trying to save up to obtain IA2 but already, there is a noticeable savings of Mana with IA1 alone. I'd imagine with IA2 and 3, Mana conservation will be even more noticeable. Again, all of these 'trainings' and 'perks' are meant to give the players better chance at playing at the highest difficulties longer.

Hath prices are dropping like flies, eh? Maybe it's time for me to try to convert some of the more desirable gear into credits sooner than later - IA2 may be closer than I originally thought. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Bit annoyed that with 439 elemental prof I only get around a 5% reduction in elemental spell cost.

Did Tenboro make the cost reduction have a derpy scaling factor as well?

Why do my tier 1 spells only get a 5% cost reduction? (which rounds up to zero) when my tier 3 spells also get a 5% cost reduction.

The formula works right for Fullcure but not the elemental offensive spells. I suppose it would make sense if all the attack spells had their cap value scaled so that they all got the same cost reduction.

(prof - req) / (cap - req), capped to be between 0 and 1.

It works for most of the non-offensive spell values on the wiki. My other though was when Tenboro changed the formula for the scaling factor for anti-resist and specific elemental resist to scale exponentially that it was also applied to the cost reduction scaling. So unless you have high prof you get far less cost reduction from proficiency than expected.

For example to see if I am doing it wrong:

For tier 3 elemental spells:

current cost 55 = (364 x 20/100)* (1-20/100) * (1- profcostreduction/100)

I don't have interference, and have 20% spell mana conservation.

Before the cost reduction from proficiency the cost comes to 58.2. Indicating a cost reduction of 5% from proficiency.

Current cost tier 1 14 = (364 x 20/100)* (1-20/100) * (1- profcostreduction/100)

Expected cost before proficiency = 14.56 rounds up to 15.
Proficiency grants 5-10% cost reduction to round up to 14
Expected using the formula would be a cost of 11.

Fullcure:

387 proficiency
945 cap 0 req
50 min cost

Actual cost 132
Expected cost reduction from proficiency 10.2%

(364 * 50/100) * (1-0.2) * (1-0.102) = 131

Proficiency seems to give about the right reduction for Full cure.

Unfortunately unless we did more data collect to work out the right min prof and prof cap we won't be sure maybe until the proficiencies are published.

I maxed pack rat before getting IA1. Now I have IA3 with Protection/shadow Veil/Haste.

May as well post it here.

Now I've done some test on materials required to forge an equip, here's what I've found:

Formula: Materials required = Roundup [(PXP-225)/25 + Current_Forge/5]. Max mum is 10 and minimum is 0.

The number you got should be interpreted using Low = 0, Mid = 1, High = 2

For example, let's say you'd like to know materials required to forge the EDB of a phase robe with PXP = 336. The EDB has been forged 8 times.

Then Materials required = Roundup [(PXP-225)/25 + Current_Forge/5] = Roundup [(336-225)/25 + 8/5] = Roundup (6.04) = 7
It means it'd take 2 High and 3 Mid to forge the next level of EDB.

Now, you should notice that the forging requirement change by 1 for every 5 forges. With that you should be able to calculate the number of total materials required using excel or pencil. tongue.gif

Note 1: I haven't tested the formula on ADB/MDB. If the formula's incorrect, please tell me so I can adjust the formula for them.

It seems that you've already looked it up yourself but the all important WD number is too low and another big negative is that it only has 2pab. You should be looking for a replacement for this axe in the WTS, asap.

I'm still using dual wield; haven't gotten around to searching for a good 1H+Shield set yet and my proficiencies for 1H and Heavy are only like 30ish.

Was just curious as I just found the axe; so with the numbers being a bit below the "projected maximum" are they still considered EMax for those?

Also, I must be stupid but I installed the equipcompare script but can't get it to show anything when I hit C to bring up the item window then W it does nothing. Is it not compatible with Chrome?

It's enabled by default and I made sure it was; just triple-checked and it still is.

I've already closed and re-opened Chrome as well.

Not sure what you mean by changing the custom fonts.
