I tried to put an ethereal weapon, the evade difference is only 2.4% (28.5% with ethereal, 26.1% without)
AND ethereal weapon without the force shield (burden falls to zero) gets me to 29% evade...

What I most likely lack in my 1H+shade is the block chance since my shield isn't that great...

Ethereal weapon is mainly good because of the void strike and void damage (which aren't weak against anything). Those 2 factors alone can double your damage. Sure you can use void shard, but I doubt you have too many of them to spam. No burden and interference are just the side benefits

Also, consider using nimble 1H (rapier or shortsword), they're cheap and their parry helps a lot.

Voidseeker changes the weapon's damage type to void, but it does not add void strike though. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)

never thought about them, only considered slaughter for damage and balance for accuracy/offhand strike chance... i think i'll try one then (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

[edit] btw, accuracy > 100% could serve also as anti-evade, but does offhand > 100% have an actual utility?

if you IW a weapon to lvl10 it would also get void damage and void strike. (and not IWing your main weapon is a waste)

you mean instead of slaghter and as only weapon? wouldn't that destroy the damage output? ( as if you were holding two sheilds as weapons =_= )

it's good. high damage, high Str, also, demonic+slaughter, but only 2PAB. i've no idea how much you can sell it for, but this one is asking for 300k which imo is a bit too expensive. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

Only at low difficulties w estoc. It's even tough with highly forged, full Leg power of Prot.

With mace, it might be okay in PFU arenas, since you encounter only 4 mobs during the beginning levels, but I don't really know.

In both setups my problem is quick running out of mana, so... need to solve that first.

Find a good staff (Mag is good enough), Exmax EDB phase, good INT+WIS. Forge the staff to about 75%, with economizerx5. You should be good to go.

But why not elemental? It's cheaper, stronger, and mana costs are >half of holy/dark. It's easier to find a Mag elemental staff with good rolls. I'd go with Niflheim or Surtr cuz not many people want those.

Yes, but I think the chances of a good drop are less than TTT. Unless you just want to sell noodles.

yes: last level arenas and RoB challenge have all guaranteed trophies drop, plus some random as usual

What do you consider "low difficulties"? I use a mix of Mag Power Prot & Warding & have no trouble running Hell & Nintendo difficulties... and I'm using a Mag Eth Mace of Illithid.
