Yeah, the price of rapiers is the reason I ditch it for a club. If I had stuck with the rat-race, even now I'll still be using that exq. rapier from wolfgirl.

Because clubs stuns, its safer and let's you focus.

I believe it will let me do hellfest sooner than I would if I were using an axe because my level is low, I'm still killable and my mana pool limited.

And I finally got an extra lyra heartstring figurine!!

What should I do with it? sell it or shrine it?

But the problem is shields eat away at my evade that I spent an entire lifetime to build.

And besides, you all say 1H is the slowest albeit the safest.

Therefore, I decided that the time to money ratio isn't worth it.

The club lets me do higher difficulties with ease, compared to the axe. I'm even doing my half-hourlies on IWBTH! With the axe, I was barely managing Battletoad difficulty.

It is because those two weapons are both having really low ADB. And that's the reason I put them in auction.

Play at higher difficulty you're able to handle ? As for GF, it's probably fun if you have a monster to level up and crystal perks to multiply crystal drops at the later stage of it.

As for my question...
Slowly, but steady I reach that level (350) where I want to switch to maging again. And here I mean maging by big M in other words playing at high difficulty without having too much problems with healing. So far I used to be dark mage (up to 304 lvl), but I've noticed that holy is more popular over dark (mostly observation of prices on auctions) while some high levels still stick to dark. I would like some pros and cons comparison of both schools. Elemental magic doesn't interest me.

Alternatively, how reliable is investing in full mag. set of power of slaughter in perspective of clearing IWBTH with no IW and no forging on equipment ?

the last time i cleared both is in hard & normal (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

New patch gear or old gear? Whats the advantage of losing a chunk of parry for a boost in resist? Is it worthwhile? Also did they buff the other stats for the new gear, so far I am seeing new gear with slighly higher ranges for the other stats but I am not sure. However there are a lot of new phase with shitty PAB rolls.

For me with my current gear, I calculated the damage perks to be worth about 50 EDB per 10%. To fully forge EDB on my current gear would cost around 50m, and I would probably give me about +100 EDB. So its still worthwhile to forge to some extent before progressing with the DD perks.
