Just finished the IW, should I keep it or reforge it?

If you have 1000+ amnesia shard to throw away, sure

otherwise, just keep it around.

You should have asked this question when the item was lv.3, not level 10 (if you have less than 1m, then you should have asked that question at lv.1) . Remember that reforging lv.10 equips cost ~200k (and that's the minimum price, usually shard goes for 25k-30k apiece) worth of amnesia shards

Question: Around what grade of weapon should I have before I really start to invest time and resources into developing? I know pretty much anything under Superior is a waste, and I thought I had a decent Superior shortsword for a while so I did a few upgrades and put some time into Item World, but after seeing some of the equipment other people are rocking, it makes me wonder if I should just save all my Bindings and whatnot until something better comes along. While I do occasionally get Exquisite Shortswords, they're never elemental swords of Slaughter, so I tend to pass those by and keep what I have now, but is this really a good move?

i'm also in doubt if IW a couple of my equips: in your case probably it would have been more worthy to IW an hallowed or demonic one, rather than a tempestuous... anyhow, for (poor) middle-level players a couple of upgrades can give a bit of fresh air but as lol500something said a couple of exq shouldn't be out of your range...

Even the ethereal sup got sold for cheap (like *insert shame less advertisement* in my shop

My 2 cents:
Well, on paper yes but fleet seems to have a higher tendency to get a higher evade roll than SD, from what I see in the shops and auctions

so, if i'm not so interested in crit damage, fleet is still a better choice than SD, also for its lesser price...

+1 to wannaf shops. The pricing is pretty close to what I'd be willing to pay.
Azu shop is not very reliable. Some of the pricing there looks reasonable, some look bs. I mean, who the f would pay 200k to buy a mag non-eth non-elem estoc? And no superior power slaughter should be sold for more than 50k.
Let's not forget that when you salvage the forged equipment, you're also losing the equipment. So you don't only lose the 20%, you also lose the equipment. Ideally, you want to be able to resell your gear. And the better the base equip is, the better the forged equip will sell.

I would say every single shop have over-priced gears. By comparing the price in each shop, and the price of gear that actually sold. One could estimate what is the reasonable price range.

Only top-notch gear cannot be evaluated by this way and need to ask for opinion. Price check for junk gears are just spam.

Throw it in an auction and hope for the best. Seriously, nobody knows what holy gear is worth anymore :/

But I reckon somewhere in the 300k-1m range. Good EDB and Int, but no frugal/radian prefix

the red and green colors are due to a script that compares the piece with your current equip?

however i wouldn't buy it, in my opinion you lose too much than what you gain... and that's also a mag SD piece, i wonder how much it would cost...

Followed the advice I was given and took a look at wannaf's WTS thread. No weapons I was interested in, but did find some armor that looks nice. Will have to keep an eye on that thread in the future.

I would upgrade, all the differences there are from upgrading an arcanist piece for a shadowdance piece. Unless you have a full arcanist set that you use to save mana that shadowdacer is better.

200-300K I guess. It has got good overall strength.
It can be used for SG arena with a rapier. But I guess sp is more important than mp so..... not many player will buy it.

I also do not have decent Shortsword of Slaughter. I have a number of axe though.

i sent him infos about a couple spare that i don't use anymore...
but have you also got an hallowed rapier/wakizashi of balance? i'd like to try the boost at the Cure spell with a weapon that has less burden than an axe...

I have only got this one. 2 PABs.....
FYI, any elemental weapon is useless until it reach lv10. The heal bonus is not that useful especially for people who do not have VV (+25% hp hath perk).

BTW, burden may not always bad. 1H player may prefer more burden (65-75) to reduce the attack speed bonus. Slower action = getting more hit = more counter = faster clear.

well, when i tried it, with about 5.5 base spell damage it was 500 free HP... given that most of the times the mobs beat me for less than 100 and that god only knows when i could afford VV it doesn't seem so bad (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)
