I got a question about equipment.

I have a hard time determining whether an item is better or not. I'll give some examples:

1) Superior Plate Cuirass of Warding

[H-P-01] Superior Plate Cuirass of Warding
[H-P-02] Superior Plate Cuirass of Warding

The Lvl 292 item has better Physical and Magical Mitigations , but the lv 277 one has better Crushing , Slashing and Piercing Mitigations

2) Another set of plate cuirass

[H-P-01] Superior Plate Cuirass of Warding
[H-P-02] Superior Plate Cuirass of Warding

As you can see , the higher lvl item has much better magical mitigation , but the lower lvl item has significantly better physical mitigations , crushing , slashing ,piercing mitigations and more even primary attributes.

3) Superior leather breastplate of protection

[L-L-01] Superior Leather Breastplate of Protection
[L-L-02] Superior Leather Breastplate of Protection

The lvl 299 one is better is all stats , except that it has worse physical mitigation than the 290 one

I has plenty more items in my inventory that are in this kind of situation.

Where a higher lvl item , while having better stats in some areas , also has some stats are significantly worse , when comparing those of a lower lvl item.

What should I go for? I've got almost all Mag Power armor, only 1 Mag Shade armor. I've got a very decent Buckler & level-10 Axe for my 1h work & I'm pretty happy with my Mag Mace for 2h work.

Should I try for items to sell, or shoot for the lucky Shade drops?

LotD has no effect on shrining.

Probably 2H or staff. It's more about 'getting something decent so you can sell them and buy something you need'.

With those trophies, the best you could hope for is an exquisite. Exq armor that isn't Power Slaughter with good rolls are pretty hard to sell these days. Likewise, exq weapon that isn't Rapier would have a tough time finding buyers.

You basically want to target the 250-350 players who are starting to get money but haven't fully upgraded their gears yet. And pretty much all of them are playing melee (The few mages who are still in that level range, like Lement, already have God-like equips and purposely hold off his level) . And melee players will eventually go 1H or DW to do SG. Thus you will never go wrong with 1H. 350+ players won't bother with anything less than Mag. And 250- players don't have the money.

Anyway, I just shrine 400 of SG trophy this morning, and bazaar all. So best of luck (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

(The few mages who are still in that level range, like Lement, already have God-like equips and purposely hold off his level)

Is there an advantage to keeping your level low?

I've been selling those as soon as I have a handful of them in the WTB. Should you sell yours , you should be able to train another 2 or 3 levels of LotD from the proceeds. If you like seeing a lot of superior bazaar fodders shrine them or be smart and sell them.

I haven't looked at them but if you equip one then the other and compare the results in your character's stats page you can soon gauge which specific prof you want to improve or don't mind losing as per your particular needs and put together the best set of gear you possibly can. As you can see, the best is not always the highest rated ones.

i've got this estoc and my domino is stuck at 75%, even though the stats seem similar to those of your mace:

is it due to my character stats, lower than yours?

also, i IWed it till level 6 and gained Butcher Lv.3, Swift Strike Lv.2, Overpower Lv.1. am i in the right way? what potencies would be the best in this case?

I would stop Iw'ing this Estoc, the WD is very low even with Butcher 3. You are already getting close to Level 250, you should be looking for an Exquisite or higher level Estoc to replace this one (or even have one already in your inventory). By the time you get this max levelled, what level will you be at and how long will this estoc be a viable weapon? Not very long, imo. I have a Superior Demonic Estoc that you can have for 500c (no freebie for a Godslayer (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)) if you still want a fart around with a Superior gear but at least it will be a more balanced weapon than your 2 pab ethereal.

350+ players won't bother with anything less than Mag.

FYI, Most of my gears are exq class.

Used to be ludicrous advantage for mages, I don't think anymore though. Still, old habits.

I'm finding it hard to clear the 50+ battles arena events. Do I need to restat to make things easier?

Are this new or not Average and Superior mama potions.

To distribute stats is not the most important thing on HV.
Extremely speaking, even balancing all stats to 1 : 1 : 1 : 1 : 1 : 1 ratio does not matter in general.
If you can't clear something, there's wrong on your level, gear, how to use buffs, ability setting, proficiency, difficulty, and training.
Link your equips, and put your character & ability screenshots if you want to get more detailed advice. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

First of all, do you mix Power and Shade armor?
You should stick to one type of armor only. Power belongs to Heavy armor while Shade belongs to Light one.

unless you're using a lot of damage spells, you shouldn't have much, if any in int if you're going for a melee build. points should only be in it for extra spirit points and even then, it shouldn't be at 130 at your level. try to reduce int as much as you can and distribute the points among your other stats. maybe try to get it down to 100 or 90 atleast?

but i'm a shade user, so i try to keep my burden as many low as possible (i searched a few shops but now i'm at 0, yay!), that's the main reason behind keeping that not-so-worthy-afterall estoc: i also thought to change it, but with my low budget i couldn't even afford another superior ethereal one, not to consider an exq one -.-"
