QUOTE(LOL50015 @ Jan 30 2014, 16:25) They do not add a static 1%, they are added logarithmic
yeh, forgot this, but it only worses the fact... so when i see something like 'Phisical Damage lv60' it could be that who did that upgrade didn't add so much compared to lv45 but only burnt 15 bindings... -.-" QUOTE(Dan31 @ Jan 30 2014, 16:25) Supply and demand.
i know that law, but market could (and sometimes should) be controlled... maybe i'm only envious to who can spend millions on a weapon while i saw 200k only once but there's something i can't really understand about that... maybe it only serves to teach that you shouldn't spend beyond a certain degree? Honestly, burning a 15 bindings (3 mil) isn't that bad compared to the price of top of the line weapons one would use those on(15+ mil).
Also, yeah, it has gotten more expensive in big part due the inflation in recent months. Slaugher used to be traded for Destruction 1-1.....
But yeah, there's a big reason why it is so popular: forging crit or PABs has much, much smaller effect so you need a highly forged weapon before you even consider it.
As for market control, there is some - tenboro has been consistently lowering the prices of crystals, they used to be 150c each.

They will be 15 million credits again if similar ones show up once more. I think that while some people want it for the price, then that's the real price. Butcher increases about +2% of weapon damage. About +10% (in fact +9.8~9.9%, I can't remember right now) for 5 Butcher. This post has been edited by Cats Lover: Jan 30 2014, 19:06

Auction prices tend to be lowered than Shop price btw Generally, auction will have the lowest price you can get for an item, mainly because a lot of rich and interested players won't be there to outbid you for different reason (forgetting, sleeping, work, laziness, don't want to be known, etc...) Top gears are all 10M+ each, not including IW cost. So I will not recommend any non-hardcore player to aim for the best. When calculating the total cost of a (useful) gear, I would considers the following: -raw price: the price of the gear, non-forged, non-IW -IW cost: the cost or price to IW the gear to the desired status -Forging cost: the cost to forge the gear to a useful level. IW cost can easily exceed 1M, and can be higher than 10M to achieve lv5 eco on a Leg staff. Forging cost is always in the order of Millions. Compare to those two, a raw price of 10M+ for an useful gear does not seem unreasonable. Of course, I am one of the player that cannot afford so much. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/anime_cry.gif) Anyway, what I mentioned are all bullshit. The price go crazy because people become rich. Please add more credit sink for the rich. Like the 75% tax for the rich in France. Usefulness is subjective, and very dependent on the person's mood/bias. For example, just 2 weeks ago, I'd be willing to spend 4m on a mag mace. But now, don't expect me to shell even 1m (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/sleep.gif) Since a shop will display an item over a longer period, they have higher chance to attract overpaying customers. Shop = get it now Auction = wait for a few days, and it is possible that someone will NTR your gear with an un-reasonable price (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/anime_cry.gif) Useful = upgrade My current way to decide is a weapon worthy to buy is to compare its increased in damage with the DD (10% damage + hath perk, 20M). If it have better efficiency than DD, I will go for it. This post has been edited by Colman: Jan 30 2014, 19:30

So, uh...
how do you change stats from melee to mage? Do you just decrease it by 10 a day and put the rest into INT and WIS?

I keep everything equal except INT. So I can decrease 2 points from 5 stat to increase INT to a reasonable value. QUOTE(holy_demon @ Jan 31 2014, 01:30) Shop = wait a few weeks for price drop, and someone else with more money will NTR it (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) Don't wait for price drop. Ask the owner to sell it to you with a reasonable price. This post has been edited by Colman: Jan 30 2014, 19:36

QUOTE(holy_demon @ Jan 31 2014, 01:42) Owner tells you it's already reasonable (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) Then target another gear. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) Know when to give up is also important. BTW, gear with reasonably price should have already bought by someone. So everything on the market is either over-priced or does not provide an upgrade.

If you have a leg max item, you might as well go all the way to 100. You won't get anything better than that and its not like Physical Damage lvl 61 gives you nothing.

+1. it's kinda hard to gauge prices on stuff you got for free using imaginary money.

On the other hand, Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies are fine.
