Also, yeah, it has gotten more expensive in big part due the inflation in recent months. Slaugher used to be traded for Destruction 1-1.....

But yeah, there's a big reason why it is so popular: forging crit or PABs has much, much smaller effect so you need a highly forged weapon before you even consider it.

As for market control, there is some - tenboro has been consistently lowering the prices of crystals, they used to be 150c each.

Butcher increases about +2% of weapon damage.
About +10% (in fact +9.8~9.9%, I can't remember right now) for 5 Butcher.

Auction prices tend to be lowered than Shop price btw

Generally, auction will have the lowest price you can get for an item, mainly because a lot of rich and interested players won't be there to outbid you for different reason (forgetting, sleeping, work, laziness, don't want to be known, etc...)

Top gears are all 10M+ each, not including IW cost.
So I will not recommend any non-hardcore player to aim for the best.

When calculating the total cost of a (useful) gear, I would considers the following:
-raw price: the price of the gear, non-forged, non-IW
-IW cost: the cost or price to IW the gear to the desired status
-Forging cost: the cost to forge the gear to a useful level.

IW cost can easily exceed 1M, and can be higher than 10M to achieve lv5 eco on a Leg staff.
Forging cost is always in the order of Millions.
Compare to those two, a raw price of 10M+ for an useful gear does not seem unreasonable.

Anyway, what I mentioned are all bullshit. The price go crazy because people become rich. Please add more credit sink for the rich. Like the 75% tax for the rich in France. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

Usefulness is subjective, and very dependent on the person's mood/bias. For example, just 2 weeks ago, I'd be willing to spend 4m on a mag mace. But now, don't expect me to shell even 1m (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/sleep.gif)

Since a shop will display an item over a longer period, they have higher chance to attract overpaying customers.

My current way to decide is a weapon worthy to buy is to compare its increased in damage with the DD (10% damage + hath perk, 20M). If it have better efficiency than DD, I will go for it.

I keep everything equal except INT. So I can decrease 2 points from 5 stat to increase INT to a reasonable value.

Don't wait for price drop. Ask the owner to sell it to you with a reasonable price.

If you have a leg max item, you might as well go all the way to 100. You won't get anything better than that and its not like Physical Damage lvl 61 gives you nothing.
