It depends on you. Monster lab is something like investment for looking out future. About 150~250+ days needed to get your money's worth. I recommend many 25+ monster armies to take your chances for binding (human-wave strategy) or a small number of high PL monster (500+, 750+, 1000+, etc) to take stable material income. (a few good men strategy) But this is also just my opinion. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) This post has been edited by Cats Lover: Jan 27 2014, 09:22

(IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) yeah, i'm thinking the same thing. human-wave strategy is good, however, i always run low on happy pills/crystals to keep all those morale up. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) though, how big of an effect is levels on monster gifts? This post has been edited by malkatmp: Jan 27 2014, 09:26

I have that problem too with my monsters. I don't think I've fed them crystals in ages. Just Happy Pills and lots of chow.
Hellfest is my best bet to get crystals, am I correct? At least, a decent amount of them.

They also easily and frequently win or kill. So 6+ gifts per day is on average for them.

If you do not play much, i recommend NormalFest. Bewares of the 1000+ round drop penalty.

Grinding Heavy and 1h proficiency... and noticed this. While I'm definitely getting good proficiency skillups for a given stamina drain, leaving me able to put stamina to more useful things, THIS TAKES A BLOODY LONG TIME! Take note of the number of turns...

Take note of the number of turns... It takes me about 3500 turns to re-max my Staff proficiency whenever I level up. I do it against the goddesses in the final round of Trio and the Tree; I use nothing but staff to attack (without using Imperil) in that round, killing Yggdrasil first and then Urd, so the other two goddesses get her defensive death proc buff. My Cloth Armor proficiency also gets very close to the max when I do this. ...I can't remember how many turns it took to kill FSM using the PA & Poison strategy back in the day. I want to say over 10000, but I feel that might be overshooting it by a lot.

Fair enough, but this is a normal IW, some crude phase gloves, not legendary monsters. That sounds like a good way to do yours, though. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

QUOTE(qw3rty67 @ Jan 27 2014, 08:01) So I looked at some force shields. 37% block - 150k 38% block - 600k
44% block - 5000k
Why.
If you compare with the price jump of weapon and power slaughter/phase (from a few mil to 20-50m), that's actually cheap (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) QUOTE(zen_zen @ Jan 27 2014, 09:13) None of the RoB is worth the hassle except for the Flying Spaghetti Monster at Lv200. The Noodly Appendage from FSM can be sold for 50k in the WTB, the rest do it once in normal for the clearing bonus. Don't even think about getting any worthwhile drops unless you have LotD trained higher than 15/25, I am at 10 and the best I ever got from FSM at PFUDOR was an exquisite Bazaar fodder.
RoB still has the highest chnce of giving you leg. 3/5 of my Leg came from PFUDOR FSM. I'd love to grind PFUDOR TT&T, but my blood token drop doesn't allow it T.T This post has been edited by holy_demon: Jan 27 2014, 10:57

Yes, it is for remaining duration. HVSTAT Full and HVSTAT Slim version displays them.

They're great as an "oh shit I just used all my spirit and mana up AND I need to heal!" type item XD I always carry two of them in battle as a just in case since they will do for regenerating anything - much better option if you can afford them than carrying a health potion. Nothing worse than being 90% of the way through an arena or IW and running out of a particular type of pot - tends to happen to me with spirit if I'm abusing stance and spirit shield is activating a lot. Always nice to know that I have a little backup plan even if they are expensive.

Monster lab again:
Can resist of player both resist physical and magical type spells of monsters? what about evade and parry then?
If you can choose between piercing and fire type attack, fire is preferable, right? cuz people hardly would have more fire mitigation than piercing one
