So I'm going to be very passive from HV as you can see from my level.
So how can I earn some little passive income?
Loaning my account to low level players and take a cut of credits earned? Give out a loan and collect low interest? ( although I only got 2m in pure cash right now) Parking my cash in hath exchange looking to snipe cheap hath? Investing in commodities?

QUOTE(Lement @ Jan 22 2014, 11:35) Tip: it's less your LOTD and more the difficulty you play on. If you do arenas on normal like Ichy you'll never get anything good.
My first Leg Drop was on heroic (RIP (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/cry.gif)). Second was on BT or Nint, I think.

Get into GP exchange. It's a smaller market and requires less initial capital to make a profit. Unless there's some change, I don't see it deflate anytime soon, unlike credits or equipments. Hath and crystal are safer, but too safe to make much profit lol Loaning, Hath exchange, Monster lab, Equipment trading, Noodle gambling require at least 10m+ to have a substantial income. Or you could make a shop, then make a script to automatically moogle and COD items away whenever somebody posts something. That'd be a pretty large project though lol This post has been edited by holy_demon: Jan 22 2014, 12:33

holy_demon: While I agree with you that leaving credits just sitting around isn't exactly wise, GP exchange did start off at 250c per kGP too, and slowly dropped down to half that, so I think it is tad volatile. Though speculating that GP prices will always rise does create sort of feedback loop of ever-rising GP prices until all users who would join such a loop have joined and the bubble crashes. @LOL50015: I'd say loans, then monsters are best in-game passive income generators - not the fastest, perhaps, if you count daytrading on GP exchange passive(I sure can see that swallowing up half an hour a day), and if you know an advantegous secret about future patch, especially with bulk-sellable items it'd be best.
As for loaning your account, that could very well get it banned, at least if the one you loan to has their own account too.
@kserox: And mine was probably on easy. Anecdotal snowballs.

I think the GP market has started to stabilise, fluctuating between 200 most days and 250 on days with good lottery. Also, the GP is inherently different than most market for 2 reasons: 1- its activities can be predicted with the lottery of the day, 2- you know that a majority of your buyrs don't buy to make GP profit, thus willing to pay higher than average price for your GP. This is in stark contrast with, say, the Hath exchange, where you have no idea when someone would suddenly decide to buy 1000 Hath for his perk, and buyers aren't under a deadline pressure, so they can take their time to collect Hath, This post has been edited by holy_demon: Jan 22 2014, 13:27

@holy_demon: the main reason why I think it will drop is that I thought it had stabilized too, when it dropped around 130 - then 10b removed Mags from lottery. However, any 'bad' suffix+prefix combination on a weapon is hardly going to start playing a huge part in the average equip value of lottery just because being bumped to Legendary. Sure, Legendary Etheral Redwood staff of focus may sell for over 10x more than Magnificent one, but it is not going to hold even 10% of the price it would nab if the suffix was Destruction.

Send it to an auctioneer, you might get a three-figure number for it. This post has been edited by Oversoul: Jan 22 2014, 16:21

Phase below mag got sold pretty slow these days This post has been edited by holy_demon: Jan 22 2014, 16:46

(IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) though, do you have a recommended auctioneer? and how does it work? do i just tell them i've something to sell, and once the auction is over and i'll send the item over? or do i just let the auctioneer hold the item and let him take a cut?

You moogle the items to them, if they think the item is good enough, they will take it and put it in their next auction. If it got sold, they will a percentage of their shares(usually 5-10%, you have to ask them about this), and send the rest to you If they don't think the item is good enough or nobody bid for it, then the items will be returned to you each auctionner has their standard: yakomo tends to sells items for 500k+, gc18 100K+, Komica 50+, Aria doesn't seem to have any standard (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/sleep.gif) I don't think ace_amuro hold proxy auction

Overwhelming strike (1H buff) doesn't proc with crit. Is that a bug or intended?
Is there any way/build to have maxed stack Overwhelming strike all the time?

Why do you want to have maxed stack Overwhelming strike all the time, anyway? (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/huh.gif) ... Your counter will proc stun like crazy it made the anti-parry bonus pretty much pointless IMO.

Your counter will proc stun like crazy it made the anti-parry bonus pretty much pointless IMO. mainly for the 15% damage bonus and the parry bonus the counter-parry is just a side benefit, cos sometimes mobs are not stunned, and they will parry like mad (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) Sure just having it on all the time is good enough, but that will inevitably lead to max stack QUOTE(Colman @ Jan 23 2014, 02:34) light armor + high attack speed bonus
All the sudden light amour sounds good (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/ohmy.gif) QUOTE(Cats Lover @ Jan 23 2014, 02:31) Intended. Proc chance of Overwhelming Strike is capped at 30%.
So are domino strike at 90% and offhand strike at 75% + offhand bonus But crit still procs them This post has been edited by holy_demon: Jan 22 2014, 18:02

Overwhelming Strike does give a 15% damage boost, and sometimes there is this one persistent monster left who refuses to get stunned from counters and parries like crazy. Hmm...
^ Ninja'ed. And crit only guarantees a weapon's status effect proc, not Overwhelming Strike.
