If you also consider stun from critical hit, it is scaled (slightly ) with level.

The mana drain was the main selling point for me, but yeah, +250 base damage actually fared me pretty damn well. I get to one-shot weak monsters a lot more frequently with it, and Fus Ro Dah can actually earn me a few skipped rounds of sort now. Though, I kind of miss the 18% parry chance of my rapier. 40% parry with rapier and 27% with axe. Quite a difference. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

I just checked, apparently I got ~0.8 crystal pack after this run. That's with 30 scav and crys I. Is that the standard amount?

With slaughter axe, your damage can increase by at least 400.
I got around 2 pack per run with 43/50 and crys 3.

The recent grow of monsters make my plan of using estoc/longsword to clear Hellfest delay again.

It's not, you will instant clear everything with OFC and it takes ~2 rounds to recharge. DW still best for high difficulty though.

wow you sure burned thru a lot of stamina clearing the grindfest, I wonder how much extra experience you would have if you were still in the 80s and 90s when you cleared it?

Seriously though, it's a free week after uni's exams so I'm just trying to get as much done as possible. And "watching anime" was a big over-generalization to be honest as I enjoy watching Dota 2 matches as well, and a few tournaments has ended over the last 3 weeks.

What was your potion use for the grindfest?

I used 5 mana and 1 spirit. Had to use the spirit potion because I let SoL get proc once at round 86x or something. And I did not use any mana pot before round 700.
