What's the best way for someone of my small stature to power level?
I've been resorting to RE on Nintendo difficulty (but even then they're slowly starting to outscale me).
As everything seems to be getting harder and harder to clear is it correct to assume it's time to look for upgrades to my equipment? Should/could I be doing anything to make my transition easier?

For power level at your level,
Pre-requirement:
1: do not mix light and heavy armor.
2: get full set of Ex plate of protection (assume you are poor), should be <= 10k each. You can also find some from free shop. Your weapon should be alrigth atm, you will replace it by a slaughter one later.

Then, clear all of the arena in the highest difficulty. Then, go for low level GF (but at least hell+), where you do not need to worry about dying and still can kill fast.
You should be able to reach lv 200 in a week if you are active. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Doing hourlies at high difficulty you can handle ( I guess right now they should be called havies or something >_> ) while stam is above 80 ? ( exp *2 ). Thye give tons on exp.

First of all your proficiency is horribly low ( both 2h & heavy ). Work on them and talent heavy + 2h skills, unless you have them slotted already ( I suggest first all 2h skills, heavy stam and later mitigations ). If you can afford try buying some ethereal estoc of slaughter they usually go for 100k on auctions. It has better dmg + void damage which makes runs more quicker. Also, don't mix types of armour : like heavy + light. Use just one. which in your case is heavy. If you can swap protection pieces to power or if you can get ( via drop ) power of slaughter. Shard weapon (+50 % hit chance with Voidseeker Shard) to increase your hit chance ( especially if you play at higher difficulty ). Thats the price for leveling fast. I mean. Joined: 31-December 13 and now Level 98. Isnt realy much time to get a good proficiency in anything.

Stat importance for melee users is STR >= END > DEX > AGI > WIS >> INT, if I recall. Get all the buffs you can afford (Protection, Haste, Cure, maybe Shadow Veil). You're really low level, so you probably won't be able to use many spells though.

Also, get the abilities that boost the equipments you use. And try to use only one type of armor (either all light armor or all heavy armor since you use melee) as those abilities don't boost you if you don't. And remember to slot the abilities you unlock in your mastery slots.

1H is kinda slow and not so effective at your level, I would recommend either 2H (mace or estoc of slaughter, works great against large groups of monsters) or DW (club of slaughter in main hand and rapier of balance/nimble in offhand, the most effective way to kill single targets).

If you really want to play 1H, try using a rapier of slaughter (armor piercing!) and a shield with the highest block possible (to raise your number of counters). It works even better with a power armor of slaughter set.

You can still chance your playstyle later on. I chance from 1H to DW at level 67 i think, wasnt a big Problem.

(If you clear every arena everyday I'm sure you'll have enough Token of Blood)

I have tokenizer and so far all I have gotten is a single chaos token recently....

well I am running H@H so I get hath from that, plus I have a cookie, plus I got hath from all the artifacts I have exchanged at the shrine so yeah.

Note: Tokenizer only increases the drop of tokens upon defeating monsters, and those drops are rarer than arena clear bonus token drops.

Also, since 0.76, "The chance for tokens to drop from Arena/RoB now depends on the end drop bonus." Which means that arenas of higher level (100~300) have a better chance of awarding tokens upon completion.
