Thinking about changing my fighting style and armor type, so please, oshiete HV sensei's (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) (IMG:[ imageshack.us] http://imageshack.us/a/img132/2157/w3z1.png) (IMG:[ imageshack.us] http://imageshack.us/a/img600/6531/re8z.png) 1. How much DW prof would be enought for Niten Ichiryu? I think about 100 DW and 200 TH 2. What armor is better for Niten Ichiryu, light or heavy? I dont like heavy much with TH weapon, maybe light armor just better for TH? 3. What do you think about my build? ATM I usually play PFUDOR randow encounters with some greater potions and protection/haste/spark + silence + cure, sometimes normal arena or item world. Equip is etheral longsword + heavy armor warding/protection type, all MAG lvl 1-5. Intelligence points just for extra spirit. 4. Which battle type is better for loot - arena, grindfest or item world?

1. As much as you can get honestly, Niten is very much a high-level fighting style though. 100% off-hand is not necessary, but will make your life easier. Same goes for Domino, you want to get it to 90% before starting Niten if possible.
2. They both work, Niten has pretty good defense from the Waki alone. I personally use power heavy, but light can work if you want a more defensive set.
3. Decent, try to get some more points into agility though. You're now looking at 3 points of AGI versus 1 point of END or DEX, keep them somewhat balanced. (INT is an exception)
4. Arena, definitely. Ring of Blood is even better, but you need tokens for that.

QUOTE(peincz @ Jan 5 2014, 07:23) Personally, I would pay 400k max for the axe. Auction could go a bit higher if you're lucky. Mag eth rapier (both balance and slaughter) can go into mil range, but axe isn't quite as popular. Wakizashi is meh, need exq+ to even be noticed lol

All buffs really, spells that target enemies usually are very bad for melee users unless you're doing Ring of Blood or one of the last 3 arena challenges.

very true, especially if you have a lvl 10 ethereal weapon because of the the extra element strike. so you really only need deprecating magic for the ring of blood or the arena.

Silence is vital for PFUDOR)

Shadow Veil is completely independent from Evade. It gives a 25% chance to evade any attack on top of Evade.

its to bad you can't get good quality heavy armor with a low burden and interference. it would help evade even more, still the featherweight charms are useful for that.

Interference doesn't affect evade. As for burden, heavy armor with the Mithril prefix have -20% burden. That's not much, but still something.

QUOTE(Ebisan @ Jan 5 2014, 00:38) Are you sure about that? The wiki shows this formula: Evade = 1 - (1 - shadow_veil) * (1- (1 - Min((Burden * 4/3%)^1.5 , 1)) * (1 - (1 - equip_bonus) * (1 - title_bonus) * (1 - AGI * 0.04%))) It does not look independent. Just asking (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) It is. "Evade" here is the chance of evading an enemy attack in battle, either with our own evade or with Shadow Veil. BTW, the base evade that Shadow Veil gives is 15% and caps at 25%, my bad. It used to be a flat 25% before the new ability page.

There's a handful of them floating around AFAIK (I got one of them that look decent enough) ... It certainly very rare though. (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/mellow.gif)

(IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/mellow.gif) Nice. of course finding a legendary/peerless mithril power armor would be even harder. actually it would nice if there was a spell or skill buff that temporarily lowered burden. not featherweight charms but a spell or skill like them. of course it probably won't happen, but still it would be nice.
