Nobody knows for sure, but it doesn't matter that much anyway. Most of your slashing/piercing mitigation comes from your armor, just don't buy deflection/stoneskin.

Only crushing damage is hurt IMO. When I am using leather armor (low piercing mitigation), I do not feel much after getting hit from Eila 501st SP attack (piercing). As the mitigation from ability is free, just get them when you have sufficient AP.

Okay, max crush mitigation ABILITY.

Get either slash or pierce mitigation ABILITY when have enough AP, AFTER max crush mitigation ABILITY.

Don't buy wooden nickels or deflection/stoneskin armor.

I do not usually play on the increased difficulties but so far a few battles in Hell and IWBTH was quite interesting and thanks to the equipment from the free shops which would be otherwise unavailable at my level, even survivable. But I have a question to ask: looking at the credits and loot which is better: a few Random encounters on increased difficulties or a same time spent on the arenas with the same difficulty?

By what I've seen (and read), the random (every half hour) encounters are good for xp, but not as good for loot & credits for the cost in stamina compared to the arena runs.

It does, but at that level, loot is not that important. Whatever he finds will most likely go into the bazaar anyway.

If you've got the time, do both Random encounters and arena. If you only want to do one of both, I'd suggest Random Encounters until you unlock some of the later arena challenges.

I, for now at least do both all arenas I have access to and as much Random encounters as I can (and shouldn't they be called half-hourlies now?). The only question, and even if it is unimportant now, it will become important later is comparison between high-difficulty arenas and high difficulry random encounters.

Later on, arena will and should suck up most of your time. Random encounters are not a good source of loot and credits due to it being only 1 round long. People usually do Random Encounters for the experience, since it gives way more exp than the other "modes". It does drain stamina faster, but since it's only 1 round anyway you won't feel it much.

Go and use the search function. There are some ex mace being sold/auctioned in the last couple weeks so you can check the price.

Personally, I would bid it for around 300k. But I doubt you can obtain it with this price.

Perhaps my view is out of step from the norm, but it seems to me that the most important factor for an auction item is at what price it's worth it to you to obtain that item.

Checking the shops for comparable items to avoid overspending is a wise idea to be sure, but if there aren't any such items available at the moment then it all comes back to what you're willing (and unwilling) to spend.

is there a special trick in defeating "Triple Trio and The Tree" in the Ring of Blood? i taken out "Yggdrasil" the healing one first, but after 3 tires, still died after killing 5-6 of them.

after a while, it seems like there's a few monsters that can 1 hit kill me even on normal and i don't have that many "shield" or spirit to last that long.
