I believe I could do that, I try to save all potions to rounds 900+. Using 1H and with a decent attack speed you can keep 1 monster alive permanently stunned and keep focusing for mana. But at that round this is already so boring that's hard to control yourself from using the potions.

(Then again, I cleared hellfest only 2 times and it was a month and a half ago. I feel that the monsters are growing stronger since then, and am playing very little HV to keep my level together with the monsters.)

Is there a 2h melee guide? I've already read the play style and advice pages on the wiki. I feel like i'm floundering and not leveling at an optimal speed due, perhaps, to my subpar gear, build, and grinding selection. I'm currently grinding the first 6-10 levels of grindfest on Nightmare/Battletoad and then fleeing, restoring mana, and repeating. I usually use regen and protection and supplement with cure as needed, but it's a pretty high mana cost to keep enchantments running and focusing seems like an exercise in futility (waste of stamina).

Your stats and idea is fine, are you bringing and using mana potions? That makes a large difference, also by the time you reach my level you will have more than 10000 spare of every kind so don't worry about wasting them. The experience requirement for level grows exponentially so expect to take longer to reach each level, and if you want better gear check out the WTS section to look for 'cheap' gear or Wolfgirl's Free shop if you don't feel like paying.

As m118 says, look for some cheap gear in the WTS section (I have some there (shameless plug) (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) Buy one, get one free for under level 150 ) or get some free stuff from Wolfgirl.

If you can't get an Ethereal Mace, get the one with the highest damage you can find. "of Slaughter".

Try to get Shade armor when you can... the +damage is nice.

I do, yes, but I guess I'm kinda cheap and I don't like to use greater or heroic potions unless I'm about to die or I'm completely oom (Instead I exit grindfest and use a lesser potion to fully restore, and then re-enter grinfest from level 1).

No, because they're in the denominator, the higher AGI and END, the smaller the factor within brackets (name it x) become, thus 1 - x = bigger.

You can consider the PMI from END and AGI = (END + AGI/2) / (900 + END + AGI/2).
