QUOTE(erwtsnert @ Dec 15 2013, 18:10) I wouldn't say so, you can get 3 70% cost spells or 150% mana regeneration per turn. My upkeep with IA2 (Protection+haste) is 1.3 mana per turn, upgrading it to 3 means it'll go down to 1.2. Spirit shield on IA2 costs 1.02 MP per turn, with IA3 that would be 0.94 mana. 2.14 mana with IA3 would mean ~2.8 mana per turn while manually casted, saving you a total of ~0.7 mana. Getting RR would mean 0.72 extra mana for me. Ofcourse it depends on your stats, but it doesn't save more mana necessarily. It is cheaper though.
Put shadow veil on IA. It costs more than protection to keep up.

Magic Regen (per minute) = 5 + (WIS / 25) * perk_bonus Spirit Regen (per minute) = 1 + (STR + DEX + AGI + END + INT + WIS) / 600 * perk_bonus
Let's say your WIS = 427 and total of 6 PAB = 3,531 (Yes, my stats on lvl 376)
without RR and Gold Star - Magic Regen (per minute) = 5 + (427 / 25) = 22.08 (1.472 mana regen per turn during battle) - Spirit Regen (per minute) = 1 + (3531 / 600) = 6.885 (0.2295 spirit regen per turn during battle)
with RR (or Gold Star) (My case here) - Magic Regen (per minute) = 5 + (427 / 25) * 1.5 = 30.62 (2.0413 mana regen per turn during battle) - Spirit Regen (per minute) = 1 + (3531 / 600) * 1.5 = 9.8275 (0.3276 spirit regen per turn during battle)
with both RR and Gold Star - Magic Regen (per minute) = 5 + (427 / 25) * 2 = 39.16 (2.6107 mana regen per turn during battle) - Spirit Regen (per minute) = 1 + (3531 / 600) * 2 = 12.77 (0.4257 spirit regen per turn during battle)
Because of the base factor 5 for magic regen and 1 for spirit regen, the result is not exactly x1.5 or x2. It is really helpful when running GF for its long long turns, especially with IA2+. But the regen bonus might be useless if you have no interest in GF.

I would say IA 3 is better than RR, if you have to choose one, because you can cast buff less often thus play more rounds in the same amount of time. In long term, they are both useful and should be considered after some drop training and equipment upgrade.

I'm having a hard time getting good equipment for my level, I've been using the same stuff for like 50 levels now, currently 91. There's never any in the market and drops are always Crude/Fine. Do I just keep wacking away with what I've got?

Just hit level 200... I've been primarily using an Ethereal Mace & Power Armor... though I sometimes switch to dual wield & leather (don't have a good Shade set). What are my best options & tactics against the FSM Ring of Blood? I'm not adverse to using potions & scrolls, and I have a bunch of Scrolls of Life I've been saving up, along with some Scrolls of the Gods.

Should I do Sleep whenever I can? When you say I need PA... what do I do to get it? I can get rid of some of my Burden with Featherweights...

Sleep is good if you cast it on the targets that you are not attacking, however, with low proficiency it is more effective to just heal. Use spirit shield and bring enough potions and it will be easy. If possible, switch to DW as its damage output vs a single target is significantly greater. If you are willing to wait, get you DW proficiency up to at least 100 and then with sleep you can easily do PFUDOR FSM.

IMO bring a few mana and spirit pots and cast SoL = win,
For easiest method, just do it on normal, take the noodly and go home. It's not like you badly need exp to want to risk 50k credits.

Get your DW proficiency up to 100, then you have access to frenzied blows which kills super fast. Hit FSM until she has 3x PA (penetrated armor), then use iris strike, backstab, then frenzied blows. Bring Last elixirs, Scroll of Absorption, scroll of the Gods/Avatar. Oh yeah bubble-gums are insane. bubble-gums with flower vase together? Even better. Doing it on PFUDOR is recommended for the arena clear bonus.

My DW is 129, my 2H is 169... I do have an ethereal club & hallowed short sword... or I can use an ethereal rapier, but the rapier has so much less damage & only 1 turn of penetrated armor.

then just use weaken but you need SoL and SS , coz FSM special deal instant death damage if you don't have SS to absorb it (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

So you don't need an ethereal rapier for DW heavy, but need one that procs for 4+ turns. If you don't use rapier for DW, it will take forever to kill any boss. And like nobody said, try to get spirit shield for a buff. otherwise you'll be sparking constantly and eventually run out of spirit pots.

At your level...sell all those superior or lower equips unless it's something like ethereal xx of slaughter. Then probably sell/shrine those common exquisite. If you have anything left, you can post them here.

There probably not much point in selling superior/lower type of cotton/leather/plate. For those, one can find exquisite or better at Wolfgirl's. For superior phase/shade/power - people are selling those, but generally not for higher than 5-10k credits. Overall, I dont advice opening shop before level 300 or so. You probably lack equips to make a good profits from. But its all up to you. I generally sell the things to the bazar, with the exception of some exquisites to salvage for a chance of high grade material. edit: Varst was first, what he said (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) This post has been edited by Wraithtouch: Dec 16 2013, 12:36
