Did somebody sell many staffs? The Bazaar looks funny.

Trophies => staffs => dump.
He was very selective. There's nothing even remotely worth buying.

staves are most of the time worth credits more than trophies, maybe he needed some money and a decent staff.

I'm going to take my revenge on Manbearpig today, but I'm not sure if my weapons are sufficient to this task :

Main
and
Off-hand

and I have 2 questions:
1) Is my bleeding will be enough to this type of encounter and
2) what kind of setup should I use ? :
a )M : bleed Off : PA
b )M : PA Off : bleed ?

I'll answer this to the best of my abilities (I have beaten him anyway) You can of course choose to wait for someone else to respond ^ ^

Rapier+shield is better

1. Bleeding isn't too important (But really, your dagger is very inadequate for bleed anyway)

2. Since your rapier is low ADM a high ADM in the main hand would be better (an axe but if you want, the dagger)


But, either way, I would suggest proc'ing the penetrated armor, and once you get to a 100%, spirit attack him and let a spirit potion restore stuff and then sprit attack him again. Poison, weaken, and maybe slow (I only needed the first two) on him all the time. I had no problems when I did it like that.

pay attention at using spirit
if you have less that half SP spark of life from the scroll of gods will not work

you need a rapier of slaughter (high adm, high proc don't care o rest of stats) on mainhand and the dagger will be excellent on the offhand

don't ever try to go on RoB with that equip

bleeding is useful only on the higher monsters in rob, the bosses are done better with rapier +weaken +poison

I may have problems with using your strategy as : 1) i have a bit low proficiency in using shields 2) no AP in spirit tank (no luck to artefacts, I guess) and finally 3) I barely managed to go with interface below 25 with all my gear and swapping dagger with shield will make make it impossible to cat spells efficiently

Edit : Well, I don't use spirit(due to no talents in it and it's really rarely used by me p to this point of the game) during the fight so it's always on 100 %.

2-3 points does 1/2 the damage of 90 spirit points with PA proc'd; you don't need that many spirit tanks. I don't know why this is because your damage is supposed to increase linearly, but it's what I've found facing ipu.
Then don't cast spells.
Do cast poison/weaken/bewilder. Cast poison with PA on for massive dot damage.
Don't use those 2 weapons. They're junk. You need a rapier in your mainhand. Offhand can be anything you want. Some people like battlecaster shields, some people have a high parry rapier, some people use an axe... (I use a bleed axe mainhand/rapier offhand, but I have enough offhand strike % to get PA in enough times).

No. Evade/block gear does not stack linearly. Even then, crits break through evade/block.

100% no, but 90%? Probably. With a full set of pre nerf phase (I know boggy has 3 pieces and I have two, by our powers combined...) you can get ~60%+ equip evade, and with a great shield you can get 60+% block. Bonuses to parry and evade from dex/agi and yellow aura/titles do add additively, which should boosty you up to about 90% overall avoidance combining block and evade, a bit higher with parry/resist at level 250.

Currently I'm at 42 evade 42 block 12 parry 12 resist on my melee set, but I'm still in the 140's (70% avoidance overall)

Don't use those 2 weapons. They're junk.

Unfortunately I don't have any better 1-hand ones as to arenas I use mage gear(that's why I have so many AP in fire skills) and to IW I put on my heavy gear + 2 h and AoE bleed combined with domino strike do the rest (with quite decent effect so far).

I use Full Heavy Armor with an incredible Superior Prism Longsword of Balance....411 Bleed, 9.15% ACC, 37.8% ADM, 29% or so AAB when I go into Item Worlds as well.

I use this Average platinum longsword of balance as I don't have anything better from drops.

your AP distribution is very wrong... what kind of build are you aiming for?


buy some better weapons from the WTS...

I would have to agree with hentai_fusion. You haven't yet maxed out MP and HP tanks; both of which are very important. I always max those two out before anything else because they allow you to stay alive longer.

I would suggest you reset AP and max out those two first before going into the elemental spells.

On another note, I thought that after I maxed out the Electric rating abilities as well as both tiers of electric spells that I have available to me, as well as buying elementalist gear and an Ebony Staff of Destruction that I would be able to start one-shotting mobs, however, that is not the case yet.

I believe the reason why I can't one-shot mobs yet is because my Elemental proficiency is too low. If that affects the damage that the elemental spells can do, that is the most likely reason why I can't do it yet.

If that is the case, what do you suggest I do to quickly build up my elemental proficiency? Go into a low quality Item World and cast Lightning on the monsters in the mob or something like that, or something else?

You need enough HP tanks to survive w/o being 1-hit.
You'd want MP tanks to last longer.
You can't do anything if you're a mage w/o elemental skills.

Take everything out of exp tanks. Get 1st tier lightning/fire, 2nd tier fire if you have enough after that. Get weaken. Get poison. Get haste if you have enough. Get cure. Don't get spirit tanks (unless you have lots of excess ap). Get mana/hp tanks.

Unless you have an insane accuracy, you're not going to one-shot mobs every time.
If the reason why you're not one-shooting mobs is b/c your proficiency is too low, the obvious thing to do is to build up elemental proficiency.
Just let the proficiency rise naturally.

Get better equipment. Instant increase.
Otherwise, buying mana potions and grinding away in item world is going to take a lot of time. My proficiency is naturally around 5 levels under my level. I use 1-5 (in battletoads) elemental spells every round.

Heh, yeah. I know that it is going to take a lot of time, but my current elemental proficiency is very low compared to my level. Its about 65 below my current level, so I think I'll go into an Item World to work on increasing it quickly but casting individual spells on single monsters to increase it by a lot.
