I tried Eve of Death, the 90 round arena on Battletoad and I failed, I only managed until round 76 before I was KO'ed. By that point, I was out of mana, out of spirits and finally out of health. I do only got 6 item slots though.

I'm ashamed, you of a lower level do it on a daily basis while I can't even complete it. I should find a hole and hide.

I'm a DW/Leather and i can do around 50-100 rounds in PFUDOR on the "common" arena's without pots.
I might use a mana pot and spirit pot depending on gem drops.

I didn't train much pack rat because it is just my nature that in whatever game I play, I don't like to use potions because it feels weak. However, I'll need to change that though if I'm to survive in H-verse.

The only useful scroll is Absorption, Avatar and God are situational or a last ditch effort not to get killed.
And packrat is overrated, i never even use half of my potions...and i have 3/10, it's a waste of money and better spent on buying new gear.
Only time you need potions is when doing hellfest and maybe IWBTH IW if your gears suck.

I won't hurt my clearing speed. If I can use all of my potions to go faster, I'll use all of my potions.
And if I'm still not using all of my potions, I'll just bump the difficulty up.

Players have been using SV/haste/protection scrolls on IW runs.

What are the overall results of you people's Noodle Shrining?

Do the monsters get stronger as the player levels up? If yes, what is it that makes things easier as you raise your level? An increase in the benefits from equipment, abilities and proficiencies? Or the stats that are increasingly ahead of one's level thanks to the dump stat(s)?

@kuro009: I've only gotten one Exquisite and many Superiors. I no longer offer them.

I'm pretty sure DW Club/Rapier is the most efficient style to run marathons at ~300. Even if it takes ages, the exp on PF is absolutely worth it. So don't worry. :3

problem is exactly with the "taking ages" most of the time I'm in a prolongued number of rounds, I feel like my brain is leaking from the ears and to be on the brink of madness.

So after 2 days of trying to match Kuro's "daily routine", I turn it down a notch into nintendo and suddenly everything started melting like butter, even mingdayu giant seemed only normal.

Thus, I think going nintendo will be better for me because although BT gives more credits per round, nintendo gives more credits per second. So I can earn more money with nintendo and also get to keep my sanity.

Sorry Kuro, but I think your methods are too slow (1H light) or requires too much concentration ( DW light: focus, tier skills, spirit stance I/O)

I think DW is only slow if you have a high ping since it does need more turns.

And the wiki is confusing, can someone help me calculate how much evade I need in order to have a 70% effective evade with shadow veil vs a monster with 20% anti-evade?

For you and all the others out there, [img.ctrlv.in] this is the correct way to play HV, makes marathons a lot less tedious and will prevent your brains from leaking. Audio books, courses are also an option. HV stat will inform you when you're in danger, so you can just brain-afk. :3

I seriously need to cut down the time I spend on HV. So I need to be faster. I may end up settling down to Nintendo. BT/IWBTH does take a hell lot of time.
I do agree that 1H-Light is slow. 1H-Heavy is faster, but also a bit risky. Even while my Shield Armors gives me over 60% of Block Chance, I still need SS/SoL. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/dry.gif)
So I have resumed being an Elemental Mage and is currently trying to figure out how to last longer in higher difficulty. So far.......No Luck! (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/anime_cry.gif)
My current goal is to finish T&T in either BT or IWBTH while being Elemenal Mage.

Generally not worth it, unless you're rich as heck.

Assuming that you only factor in evade.
Effective Evade = 0.7 = 1 - (1 - evasion * (1- anti-evade)) = 1 - (1 - evasion * 0.8) -> evasion = 0.875
You'll need 87.5% evasion.
Now, assuming it's 25% for Shadow Veil
Evasion = 1 - (1 - SV) * (1 - Evade_on_Board) -> 0.875 = 1 - (1 - 0.25) * (1 - Evade_on_Board) -> Evade_on_Board = 0.833

You should try 2H for now. You're going to be hit more often but you can go faster.
Maging at hell+ would require constant imperil so it's more viable after lv.310, when the CD of imperil becomes 0 with ability point invested.

But then if you can clear 2x speed on hell, the EXP should be the same as battletoads.
