Are hath perks a necessity when playing higher levels?

After maxing out DW, I want to try my hand on elemental maging. What element would you guys consider good? I'm thinking cold (for schoolgirl) or wind (for giant and dragonkin - 2 most annoying foes to kill)

What do you guys think?

It might be possible to mathematically rank the four elements, but in practice I don't really think it matters much. Unless your equipment is very good and well-forged, you will be casting Imperil on just about everything, which renders resistances pretty much moot. If you are already using another style, I actually don't recommend switching to mage until level 310, which is when Imperil loses its cool-down. Also keep in mind that ability resets won't be free forever, so you might not have enough AP to switch back and forth between melee and mage--especially elemental, with its very expensive ability tree.

Glad to hear it. I have a grand total of 4 hath and my upload speed isn't eligible for H@H. Also, broke.

Why cold for schoolgirls? They're weak against holy and dark, except Konata whose weakness is wind.

Yeah I'm just planning ahead. I'm still 50 prof away from maxing DW, and I'm going to invest into AP training as well as phase gear first.

On the subject of Imperil, so the current maging playstyle is imperil -> offensive spell? Is it limited to only PTFUDOR, or does it apply to lower difficulty, like hell arena or hellfest?

I usually imperil everything on PFU, but Nintendo and below I don't, unless it's something like Kodou yuki, mingyanu giant, or those beasts.

I try casting Imperil on everything because I think it's the method that requires the least amount of attention and thought, but if something resists my Imperil and it isn't an "HTTP-class" monster or something that I recognize as being highly-resistant to wind, then I don't tend to worry about it.

I think it's definitely possible to pick-and-choose which monsters to cast Imperil on, and this is exactly how elemental mages had to play before 0.76. Even on PFUDOR, there are a ton of monsters that you don't really need to cast Imperil on, and this becomes increasingly truer as you lower the difficulty. It's just a matter of how much effort you want to put into sitting there and identifying which monsters need Imperil and which don't every round--and of course this varies with how strong you are relative to the difficulty.

I remember Uno mentioning in the suggestions thread that the "holy-style" of maging is casting Imperil only on the strong monsters, so I guess this implies that this is how he plays, but I don't really know for sure. It's kind of hard imagining someone like danixxx casting Imperil on every I Fear ... monster. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/mellow.gif)

I believe some people use script to search for meh gear in the bazzar.

Assuming the game is balanced I'd ask:

- In which cases Light armor is better?
- In which cases Heavy armor is better?

You just reminded me of yesterday! I accidentally sold all my One-Handed weapons to Bazaar, and before I realized it, they were all Gone from Bazaar!!!!! (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/cry.gif)

When quantities are too high some equipment will be deleted by the system.

Some guy might have bought the equipment from bazzar right after you sold, but I think almost of them might have been deleted by system.
I sell at least 150~200 equips to bazzar a day. Not only me, but also the other ppl sell thier equips much more than that.
Bazzar would be filled with too much crappy gears without the automatic remove system (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)
