QUOTE(CapableScoutMan @ Nov 17 2013, 23:53) I see, I haven't really used LA, so I don't know much about it.
On another note, should I prioritize PMI over MMI, or keep them equal?
For Grindfest and "normal" enemy arena, PMI is the way to go. You want to balance it out for the schoolgirl arena challenges, because some of their spirit attacks do magical damage. @Ayperos Absorb scrolls are decent for providing mana outside of pots, protection and avatar are pretty good aswell, because they give higher bonuses than the spells that give the same buffs.

QUOTE(Ayperos @ Nov 17 2013, 22:01) So in your opinion what scroll is the best to have in the battle items?
Is Infusion also any good?
Tried using flame infusion once to see if it would combo with the protection shield debuff (have shock spike shield which give deep burns and make the monster supposedly weak against fire) but did not see any aparent change in the damage, so I really am in some doubt about it.
Infusions are only useful in forge for melee. As for scrolls, Avatar would probably be the best scroll, I've never really found scrolls useful, even now my training is 0/5. However, they still can be life savers when you're out of mana on the last few rounds. My only problem with them is their short duration, if your prof is high enough, you will be able to buff yourself with 4 times the duraton of a scroll, only not as strong. I don't remember who anymore, but I'm pretty sure that this was mentioned in this thread sometime ago (too lazy to go dig it) but didn't people mentioned that absorb is currently useless? I read that here somewhere and since then I stopped using the scroll and the spell. QUOTE(Oversoul @ Nov 17 2013, 19:29) Infusions are only useful in forge for melee. only on 1975 so itll take me a while to get back
what does marathon mean...thought it meant grindfest(but you guys call that hellfest)... thought it meant going through all of the arena (not so sure)... now thinking that it means the ones where they throw bosses at u every single round i.e EoD+
do people actually use skills from their fighting styles (cause it seems like that would seriously break the flow and paying that much attention to the game would get annoying sans niten ofc)
how do you get sufficiently far without basically running out of mp/sp (melees) since most of u seem to run slaughter/balance (im thinking of picking up an illithid/banshee)
what is a crystal pack
so i heard that ppl do hell gf because somewhere it rounds to getting 3.2 instead of x.x ...w/e... and thats more "efficient" than doing a lower difficulty
and how do people get 50+ block chances in light (i'd assume through forge, but it looked like a rather large number of people to have 25+ levels of barrier ugprades)
if you want it to be more legible for the non english folk i can do so ... i guess
e: how do i get the equip comparison script to work? i hover and press keys and.... nothin

When cast as a spell, pretty much, it costs more than it returns. As a scroll though, it gives you some (With emphasis on some) free mana, and since scrolls restock during battle you essentially have infinite mana. Or you just focus a few times. A marathon is one of the last three arena challenges, the ones that throw schoolgirl bosses at you. As you said, basically a must for Niten. Estoc users usually don't bother, mace can go both ways. Using skills with longsword is a waste of overcharge. 1H users do use theirs for finishing off bosses I think, part of what makes DW so fast is backstab, though only for bosses really. It's better to just spirit stance and whack normal mobs. As for mage... concussive strike isn't really useful, so I can't imagine them using it. Pack rat, adds a lot of battle slots. Other than that, higher level means better pots. Better pots means you'll last longer, aswell as just having larger mana and spirit pools. Some people simply just focus to replenish mana, others use spirit theft. Even though I think most just spend their pots and quit. Getting better equipment is the best step towards living longer. Crystal Pack = 1000 of each crystal, usually sold for 90-95k. After doing 1000 rounds of the lower difficulties (up till nightmare) you'll get less drops, all the way down to 25% of the usual amount. It's not hard to get a 37+ block shield. Add the 1H proficiency and some bindings and you're set.

Enable custom font on settings, q/e to compare with what you're wearing, twice for off-hand, w for base stats, r for wiki equipment range.

to be sincere i only saw said sad panda once and it was when people mentioned the existence of another site where said panda appear right off the bat (also i'm not really a fan of said hentai stuff, I like the real thing far more that the cartoon idea of it, I can digest asia porn, but the rest it's not my cup of tea {Although some asia porn out there is way beyond what i can absorb, Japan you sometimes scare me} my wife on the other hand can't get enough of this stuff, i get speechless everytime i check her web history cache of e-hentai searchs) I only registered exactly because i wanted to play HV This post has been edited by Ayperos: Nov 18 2013, 03:53

You need to slot both "Spirit Theft" and "Ripened Soul" abilities... in battle, cast Forbidden spells (Corruption/Disintegrate/Ragnarok) until a mob get the "Ripened Soul" status effect, use drain in that mob...

hi guys, I have been following your conversation and someone mentioned training some prof will give you bonus on block stats. So training in different weapons prof gives a boost to block or resist and evade, right? So does that mean I may have to train different weapons and armors prof in order to get the most bonus?
Also I am considering hath perks VV and IA3, which one do you usually get first? Thanks guys.

@wastedman o_O I think it's only 1H proficiency that gives you +block http://ehwiki.org/wiki/proficiency#One-HandedNot sure if you get that +block bonus if you're just using 1H weapon + no shield but I believe that +block bonus only applies if you're using 1H+nothing or 1H+shield. If memory serves correct, this would be my rough ranking: IA1+2 > EE (holy crap it's 500 hath now!? I'm so glad I bought it when it was cheaper in the form of Black Aura) > VV > IA3 > RR > IA4 > SS (bloody expensive) = IA5 This post has been edited by Slobber: Nov 18 2013, 09:41

So you guys here say a lot about doing item world at level 200.
By this does it mean do IW at normal or higher difficulty?

I dun think lv200- player should IW their gears. The only use of IW for low level players is to enjoy the high exp bonus with much lower monster damage (using a crude gear). Some people use it to grind proficiency, but i dun think proficiency is a problem for most players.
