What's the current fastest time in pfubar grindfest for mage and melee?

That would be almost impossible... 1000 rounds mean those pfudor mobs get about 950 %stronger towards the end..

Hey vets, new player here(lv37). I'm currently using dw but am finding it difficult to level and farm in the higher difficulties and was wondering if that could be fixed by switching from dw to 2h or even to mage. Would that be a good idea to do early since I'm still low? I just completed a 90R item world and I feel like having an aoe build would be a lot less exhausting but I might just be too impatient =/.

Also, I just poked around a few of the pages here and it seems like light armor isn't very good? Would it be better to start using a plate/cloth mix instead? Right now I'm in full light with a club and rapier, so pretty much what the advice page recommends.

Well, I'm 1H Heavy user from the first because I like 1H weapon style whatever RPG I have played.
If you don't have such willing weapon style, I think 2H Heavy is the easist and preferable at low level.

0. Leveling up is the best answer to all the matters of HV when your level is low. At first, you should raise your level to 200~250 at least. Level solves many problems. Level rules! (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif)

1. In any case, it can't be helped that low lvl user has low damage and procs whatever weapon style the user chooses. So multiple AoE attack with domino strike can be helpful. It is not necessary now, but look for ethereal or Lv.10 weapon to change your weapon type to void for later.

2. PMI (= physical mitigation) is always important and it's especially for low lvl because the most attack he meets are physical. Monsters' normal attack is always physical and all the monsters don't have even SP bar (red bar) to do SP attack at your level. Raise your PMI with Sup or Ex plate protection gears. And do not mix your gears. Stick to just one type.

3. Mages also do AoE attack, but it's hard to survive in low level. I'd say to try at least 225 level if you want play mage.

4. Use your potion - Potions exist for use, not collecting. (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) If you feel the number of potions is insufficient to do arena, train Pack Rat to expend it.

5. You can easily switch your style or gear when your level is high enough. Try whatever you want, undergoing trial and error.

Ok so I am puzzled about something, I put the most effort on my evasion but my evasion is at 32% while my other defenses eg. parry, PMI, MMI, resist are all at 40%++

I mean my effective AGI is 95% of my level and 25% more than the next highest stat and 4 fleet gear

What more can I do to increase my evade so that it is on par with my other stats?

Oh and monsters seem to start to parry my attacks, can what counters parry besides counter-parry stat in weapons?

And does accuracy negated monsters evasion chance?

Cause you're comparing oranges with apples.

Parry: physical attack only
resist: magical attack only
PMI/MMI: reduce damage dealt

Evade: can neglect both physical and magical attacks.

It seems that you're using DW Light, right?
DW has high parry chance by nature due to offhand weapon's parry bonus.
And look at your light armor's stats. No matter it is fleet or shadowdancer, evade chance is almost always lower than any other defense.
So it's very natural that your evade is lower than parry or resist.

This is by design. There's nothing wrong with it; apart from the fact that you may find the numbers not 'aesthetically pleasing' to you, of course...

and compare that with 1.5m dmg from the tier 3 skill to pfudor FSM (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

In my experience of using 1H axe during the past month, 1H axe is not that slow. In fact, 1H can kill boss much faster than 2H.
Besides, 1H with a good shield make you very safe so that it is likely possible to train your cat to play for you.

I want to ask if there is a way to increase gain in ToB precisely?
I know the token perk, but it increases ratio of chaos too.
So should I just training scavenger and leave perks and other training alone?

It is possible with mousemelee and no victory pop up script.

your cat just needs to hover the mouse around and it will attack when it touches the target.
As for riddle master, you just need to wait it to timeout and continue.
For spells, the auto-cast hath perk will do.

Oh and what spike shield should I get? They all look the same.

does higher difficulties really affect drop rate? I'm inclined to disagree of late...

tried Power Flux and Killzone on iwbth best drops? A generic crude cotton on pf and one avarage club on kill

tried Growing Storms on normal, just to quickly grab the end cash (was in need of some quick bucks for some crystals {I'm kind of poor at the moment}, my monster morale was asking for it)

this happens:

12 12 You gain 1000 Credits!
12 11 You gain 15993 EXP!
12 10 Arena Clear Bonus! [Superior Plate Greaves of Stoneskin]
12 9 Shido Mariya dropped [Superior Cotton Pants of Warding]
12 8 Flisi dropped [Superior Redwood Staff of Destruction]
12 7 Qqeette dropped [Token of Blood]
12 6 Ancient Magical Dragon dropped [Crystal of Devotion]
12 5 Crysis dropped [Crystal of Cunning]

and i can tell you that this is not the first time that it happens to me, everytime i try to play on battletoads or higher my drop are commonly credits and crystals with a rare chance for crude to avarage equip, switch to normal and bam! Superior right in the first attempt.

I'm seriously inclined to play on normal now just for the items.

I wonder if any melee still playing @ PFUDOR with estoc these days— even with max overpower potency, monster still parrying your attack like crazy... (IMG:[invalid] style_emoticons/default/sleep.gif)
