QUOTE(eramosat @ Nov 9 2013, 01:17) those opinions look great to me. I'll add that -using rapier in 1H should be most effective -in DW, important to try MH axe with heavy armor and use a MH club with light -I wouldn't be unhappy with Savage Shade
1H rapier with force shield? effective? For survival or offense? So club for light, how about 2 rapier? Also savage shade?

I've never used force, never had a good one. I think it's plusses tend towards defence. Kite or buckler has been way more than enough defence for me, for such an easy way to play. Try searching the forum(s) for more advice on force. As for Dw, try anything you think might work! (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) Especially if you already own them. You'd certainly get a high parry, but low damage too. Savage shade may no longer drop....but I think it should? It gives crit damage bonus, and for DW shade user, crit should trigger a lot. Any way to see the unupgraded state of an upgraded equipment?

Nope, you'll have to try to calculate it back manually. With emphasis on try, because the exact forge % increase per binding is unknown.

I have a bit of trouble understanding this description about Item Potency QUOTE All potencies give roughly 2% bonus per potency level (then scaled according to player's level except for mitigation potencies which give 4 base points. So if I have a weapon with WD 1000, then its new WD will be 1020 at Butcher lv 1, 1040 at Butcher lv 2, 1060 at Butcher lv 3, etc ?

So, I've never tried being a mage before... Can anybody tell me if this staff is any good? I recall reading that katalox isn't as good as it used to be...

QUOTE(nobody_xxx @ Nov 9 2013, 08:42) Wrong prefix , katalox must have demonic or hallowed (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) So you wouldn't recommend building a set around it?

@Katalox. It won't turn heads, is nice to use but not great for selling.
@overpower vs swift that depends entirely on your build.

I play 2h + heavy, full plate for random encounter and Item world, full power for arena. I'll play DW as well once I got my DW prof up. I sort of guess that swift strike should be pretty useless to heavy user due to the steep attack speed penalty, but that's just my speculation. I wanna hear you guys' opinion (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) This post has been edited by holy_demon: Nov 9 2013, 10:07

I was kind of wondering:
Lvl. 300 ++ people, what is your main source of income? (Money from Dawn Day notwithstanding)
At this level you would have claimed all rewards on blood ring and arena. So I'm curious.

I wanna hear you guys' opinion (IMG:[ invalid] style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) Personally, I am trying my hardest to get counter parry on my 2H along with Swift strike (I don't use slaughter weapon so I don't want to try to get butcher which feels like a waste). But yeah, for 2H I would take counter parry over ss. For DW, I would take SS over counter parry. I mean, you might be using an axe but if you don't want to worry about parry, you would use a club to stun them at which point they can't parry. I should mention, this really depends on your weapon. Mace wouldn't need counter parry, but the other 2h would be nice. Also, for DW ppl like extra crit damage, I don't actually knwo which is better but whatever.
